I watched an interview Saturday on Bulldog's Gameday with Jeremy Pruitt.
A short little interview, but he made more sense than Grantham has in 4 yrs.
Simple things like simplify, knowing where to line up, player evaluation.
Where have I heard those words before?

Those simple little things that will allow us to play smart, and fast.

Said somewhere else on this board that Pruitt is going to make sure the defensive backfield gets fixed. By that I mean in a hurry. Not his exact words, but the meaning is the same. He knows where the major problems were last season, actually it was easy to see.

For grantham to use as openers in his "meet the press" in Louisville to say how well our defense played under him, made me wish I could reach through the computer screen and . . . .

He also talked about Petrino and his remarkable offensive prowess. Not once did he mention the amount of points that were put up by Mike Bobo's offense. grantham forgets the tape on him approaching AM in the LSU game and thanking him for saving his butt.

To mention Jarvis Jones. He had nothing to do with Jones landing in Athens, that happened because of richt and the belief in the medical report locally that UGA doctors put forward.

Has always liked mentioning DeMarcus Ware. Ware was recruited by Jerry Jones. Jerry Jones overruled Bill Parcells in the 2005 draft to select Ware at #11 in the first round. Ware was with Dallas for 3 years prior to grantham arriving to coach in 2008-2009. If Jerry Jones had wanted to keep grantham, he would be there now. Tried his luck in New Orleans, we know how that turned out, fired Dallas Defensive Coordinator took the opening. Did get a raise from UGA to stay though. Now he is sitting on a guarantee of 1 million bucks a year under Petrino.

grantham has a history of using the "I" word, it works that way with egomaniacs. UGA plays good defense under Pruitt, grantham will let it be known that those players were trained under him. Take that to the bank. He is much too easy to read.

yankeedawg1, can't hide either, really thought that grantham had what was needed in Athens.

Most of us, if not all of us were ready for a good defensive move to be made in the Classic City.

Wille Martinez was handed a jewel, lots of talented football players, but his lack of "know how" caught up with him.

Not to be ugly, same has happened with richt. Main reason I repeatedly say . . . . stay out of the way. That is a sincere wish.

wlayton hit it when he said he thought richt would not mess with the new defensive coordinator. I buy into that. Jeremy Pruitt took the UGA job to run "his defense" not one that is overlooked by the head coach.

I firmly believe that there are going to be some hurt feelings in Pruitt's first year coaching in Athens. Good on him. Again, when one of his opening remarks was, you get what you earn, better believe that players heard that.

Truth be told . . . . martinez, garner and grantham had their favorites and that caused problems, some were noticeable.

Feel if a player wants to be Pruitt's favorite, going to have to work for it. He said it, I am buying into it.

Does not work, can always trash him later . . . .

Buc, I've pretty well kept my mouth shut about MR, but, will say this, if our defense turns around and we begin to play "Grown man football" again and start to show up for 60 minutes, then I'll give him a pass for this year. Show marked improvement in SEC football, get on the coaching 'em up bus, and stay out of the way, maybe all will be forgiven. Give us more of the same old s--- and its adios amigo.
