I do think its good for UGA hes moving on and am real surprised he got a 1 mil a year contract.

I remember when he had the altercation with the Vandy coach and some were saying "thats who we need for our Head Coach", a man with fire, hahaha. Ill give you credit Mr Buc, seems like I remember you saying he was suspect long ago.

The Vandy incident killed Grantham. I would still rather have him than Richt.

kentdaddy, you have been on the mark on this subject much longer than most of us. sadlerdawg was there soon after, according to the posts that I look at. After that, ogredawg stepped forward.

While I do agree with you about the Nashville (Vandy) incident, the one that bothers me the most was the loss to Vanderbilt after we had their butts kicked in 2013, head coach went to sleep. There are some games of football (American Football) that don't end with such stupidity. After that comes Auburn when their turn came up, call it anything we want, richt taking the blame, another case of dumb damn football. Watching the North Texas State game with "my group" and "my sister-in-law being a graduate of NTS", what the hell . . . .

Our head coach has not stepped up, he is still pulling a Jim Baker on the faithful. Being as I have tried on two occasions to think that this football thingy in Athens could be reversed, both times I have been wrong. Wartdawg said it best today . . . . it is over.

Guess that ability to pay fits only some . . . . Check McClendon's salary. Check his recruiting abilities along with coaching abilities, as compared to the head coach and grantham. System skewed at the top?

Ability to spend and willingness... two different things as you know.

When and where you spend if you are able and willing... something else entirely again. We all know the Yankees can and will pay anything, but we haven't seen them in the WS in a while.

We have one of those 3 things: ability.

Willingness and knowing to whom to give the money...'not so much.
