Most of their findings go to the universities, usually AD's, and most of the top guns are not available for comment. Sounds a lot like Washington, D.C. to me averagedawg.

Could not agree more.

Picked this up from the Anniston Star.

PENALTY ISSUES: Two years ago, The Wall Street Journal named Georgia/Auburn the “dirtiest rivalry in college football.” Studying 40 different rivalries the paper found that no series saw more personal foul penalties per game than tussles between the Bulldogs and Tigers, averaging 5.4 late-hit and behavior related infractions in the previous five meetings.

Think maybe Gus Malzahn will show us Saturday just how competent he is as a head coach. Meaning this . . . .

His football team is riding high with the W-L record thus far. Deserve to enjoy the fruits of winning and turning their program around from a year ago.

Fans of Auburn are sky high, never in their wildest dreams did they think their team would progress this far so quickly. Players can't help but hear the "noise" that is surrounding them and the program. Gus Malzahn has to be the man that regulates the noise that his players are hearing.

An example of that would be the National Championship game between Alabama and Notre Dame. Everyone north of the Mason/Dixon Line had Brian Kelly on a pedestal and a team that could run with the big boys. Anyone that watched that game saw Kelly lose his cool several times during the game. With that came the shoulder slumping on his football team. Notre Dame thought they were all that, guess they were not.

Gus Malzahn is now the head coach of a D1 football team, bit different than teams he has led before. Looking at his recent video above, believe I can see some nerves in his coach speak delivery. This game against Georgia is as large as any game he and his team have played this season. A loss would be disasterous. They know that.

So what makes this Auburn team really work? From where I sit, Ellis Johnson has made improvements on the defense, however it is the offense that has taken the lead and moved this program forward.

This University of Georgia defensive football team does not "fear" the men facing them on the field. For my money this is a tough bunch of players that take no spit from anyone, they have backbones and they have talent.

Where does that put my game planning two cents worth . . . . Hate to say this . . . . In the hands of Todd Grantham. Time for him to "show cause". Hope he spits the chewing gum out and does his job. Grantham vs Malzahn. One time professional football coach matching wits with a newly appointed head coach at a D1 university. No damn excuses is the right phrase for this game.

One big thing in our favor (imo) is that we should come out VERY relaxed for this game. That usually translates into better performance and execution....."go time" attitude with no pressure.

On the other hand, I hope AU comes out so tight that you couldn't get a greased pin up their tails.

Interesting to watch/listen to the video below. Seth contradicts himself a little, still enjoy much of what he does.

Starts out saying making Nick Marshall throw is not the way, then . . . . it is on the video.

Below is what some of the folks on the other side of the Chattahoochee think about the Georgia/Auburn game. Apparently they think more of our defense than I do. (Coaching I refer to). Can't speak for the others on this board, amazing how differently football "fans" view teams and records. SEC has not changed in many years, guess that is what separates us from the other conferences.

I enjoy reading the posts to the article.
