Not true in my neck of the woods, the Bama fans around here want Auburn to beat UGA so they can be the ones to crush the Tiger dream.

Alabama will "crush" the upstart team, either way. :)

Just the opposite here. The Tide people want the Dawgs to kick butt. Want UGA to soften them up for the Iron Bowl and kill any confidence that they have....

sflanagan21, many thought that Tray Matthews along with Reuben Foster would sign with Auburn. Auburn game will have special meaning to both players representing Georgia and Alabama when they square off.

I don't think TG could learn anything from me about D, and I mean that sincerely. Living it daily as he has for this many
years, I am sure he knows quite a bit more than I do.

But knowing and being able to teach are different things.

Knowing and being able to put that knowledge on the field... different..

Knowing and knowing how to make what you know fit well with what you have to work with.... different things.

Wartdawg, reminds me of a post concerning Mark Richt a couple of years back. Same thought patterns concerning both men.

You are spot on with your thoughts. Could not agree more. Same analogy could and does apply in every phase of our lives, one time or another.

Problem remains the same throughout the years . . . . egos can be a terrible thing.

At this point, if I were in charge of the coaching staff, might go something like this . . . . Grantham would be the defensive end or linebacker coach, not the defensive coordinator. As you say Wartdawg, it is not what you know, it is how you apply it. Grantham is a position coach next time around. Good post.

Edit: Off topic . . . . stanger, where are you?

The refs have dumped on us all season.
Having seen the late hit on McCarron in the LSU game and the questionable calls on Georgia all year, I have no doubt we will have to beat the officials as well as Auburn.
No excuses for our poor play but fair is fair.
We have touched on this for many years. SEC officials are a bad joke.

Amazing that the SEC officials have their official meetings on Mondays. Seems nothing comes out of the meetings that can be viewed by the fans. Ones that do are miniscule. Most of their findings go to the universities, usually AD's, and most of the top guns are not available for comment. Sounds a lot like Washington, D.C. to me averagedawg.
