Georgia/Missouri . . . . LSU/Florida

We did rattle Franklin on his home turf last season. Have also read some excuses as to why. Saturday if we make Franklin take a second look, might have the same results as last season.

We all know this statement to be true. Grantham loves having players coming off of the edge making sacks. That is the thought pattern that every NFL team has. That was one of the reasons that Jenkins came to Athens. Grantham talking NFL and sacks. More to the game than that. Someone has to wrap their arms around the opposition.

Grantham also said on another site that Swann was having a hard time right now, I agree with that. Would have taken the statement a bit further. Grantham has talent, a lot of talent at his command, there seem to be problems elsewhere. Could not be coaching, could it . . . . ? Too much talk about "sacks", might want to teach players position football. Getting beat on the edge way too much. Team first, sacks and hurries will come.

Baby steps . . . baby steps . . .

Don't forget, though, if our D gives up 4 TD's, we'll still have to score 40+, since special teams will probably give up a direct TD and an indirect FG.

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

Pretty words and all that, but at some point the faith has to be rewarded with actual progress.

Maybe not going from well below average to great in 3 games, but steps in the right direction.

This would be a good week to start rewarding the faith that the coaching staff has been asking for...

Quite frankly, I would be much happier to see some stops earlier in the game than having to depend
on the defense rising up with an awesome stop at the very end of every big game. That is like playing
Russian roulette. Play it long enough and I guarantee you will eventually lose.

Yep, dead on....shouldn't HAVE to rely on that 4th qtr stop.....at least not all the time it seems.

Buc-Meet Archie at one of our HS games back in 86 or 87, nice man from what I remember. He came in our field house at halftime while we were trailing Lakeside I believe (many moons ago) and gave us a pep talk.
