Why we lost

Goose, couple of things on the stat board that I have not seen mentioned in this thread, and a good thread it has been.

McDowell rushed for 132 yards. Can read a lot into that. First and foremost, Clemson has a quarterback that seems to fit the "mold" for many colleges these days, feel sure more will "copy cat". Mobile quarterback with arm and lower body strength can and will cause "any" team problems. Opens it up, especially when playing a three man front for yardage to be gained.

Turnovers, penalties, football has not changed. Most football games whether pee wee, high school, college or pro, those two things are going to alter outcomes.

I like the talent that we have recruited for the future at quarterback. I also know that we will continue to run a pro offense. My opinion has not changed since I have been posting, the football game starts with the snap of the ball. We have to have a good front wall if we are going to run the offense that we have ran since . . . .

AM was blindsided several times, but AM has to release the football. Holding the football too long going through reads will get him hurt.

We learn a lot more this Saturday. SS always enters Sanford Stadium with the thoughts of hanging 50 or more on us. Unlike Nick Saban on the black out night game, called the troops off in the second half. Of the two, I much prefer Saban.

Imo you are so right that Clemson played a flawless game (with exception of that fumbled punt) and may even say they might have played there best game of the year when they look back on the season.

We desperately need to clean up the things that cost us these type of games.....great teams don't continually make these mistakes.

Hey dawg family. I believe in much of what has been said here. Y'all make great points. It is very simple to me.

1. I want to win national titles.
2. As long as saban is in the SEC, we need to beat Saban.
3. #2 will not happen with the current folks in A-town.:
-we never out coach anyone. We win games when we have better talent.
-we don't have better talent than bama.
-we can't out coach bama.
-therefore, we cannot get out of SEC.
-in order to beat Saban, we need to find someone who has the swag to go against him. I don't know who that may be, but the boys in Athens get paid a lot of money to find someone.

I don't think it was necessarily play calling against Clemson. It was all the other stuff you all have mentioned.

Some of the following things that happened saturday have happened during this 1-12 run against top 10 teams:
1. we always have more penalties
2. we have more turnovers
3. we always run up the middle on 2nd and 20
4. all our passes are 7 step deep drops----and the weak OL allows AM to get killed
5. we miss FG's
6. we NEVER adjust. if Bobo can beat you because we have better players, we will win. If the other team adjusts, we will not score in the 2nd half.
