Why we lost

Never said I was giving up on the Dawgs. Now giving up on the coaches is another story.

Sorry that is the way it is. Y all continue to drink the Kool-Aid. Me I am done.

Yeah, every year when anyone complains or points out needs for improvement or just generally doesn't show 100% support for the team and coaches, we get somebody throwing out the "giving up on the team" and the "not true fans" lines. I suspect there will be more to come.

Got home form game yesterday just after noon. Cut grass and worked in the yard. Have not seen interviews or read accounts of game as of this posting.

Topic is why we lost. Top 5 reasons we lost as observed from upper deck in Memorial Stadium, Death Valley, Clemson SC.

5. Offensive line continues to struggle. I know we had more yardage, but that does translate to a W. Would like to know what TOP was.Clemson seemed to score often and fast.
4. Defense. We knew what we had in the defensive backfield and they did struggle. However, the tackling was horrible. Too many missed tackles.
3. AM had a bad game. Did have some good passes, but was inconsistent at best throwing behind most receivers.
2. Penalties. How in the world can you have a delay of game coming out of a TV timeout? Holding calls and blocking below the waist penalties killed at least three drives.
1. Turnovers and mistakes. Fumble and interception by AN that turned into points for them. We had first down at 5 yd line and came away with nothing. High snap during field goal attempt. Can not expect to beat a good team while committing penalties, turnovers, and mistakes.

and in other words, once you include a special teams failure.... the same old same old.

I don't give up on the season, the coaches, or the team.... but I will tell you one thing I
just about have given up on, and that's us
EVER having an O-line that wont get whipped by a good D-line if they are playing them straight up....

.... and it will happen (playing them straight up) because we can't seem to adjust and give the left side some help when they are getting beat like rented mules.

Maybe given an entire week to prepare after seeing our left side of line is ponderous and full of technique fail.... maybe we can scheme some help before we have to play
SC. Lord knows we can't do it at halftime during a game, but maybe given a week...

It's been going on for years, wart, so I doubt a week is going to fix it.

Bobo himself stated that they already have 90% of the Carolina game plan in place.
10% ain't going to change squat. 2 runs up the middle, pass on 3rd down (sack), punt. Nice game plan.

Don't think for a minute that the old ball sack ain't licking his chops planning for our D and feeding his front seven raw meat, so when they cook our O line's ass they will taste something different.....
