Sounds really good and motivational and all but “KICK ASS, NO PRISONERS, BURY THE DEAD” sounds a LOT more, ummm, kick ass’ish.

Gillette, read an interview with Gurley and he couldn't recall the new motto: After a brief pause he flatly stated "We're just gonna get out there and Ball, cause that what we do"

I'm confident in this group of Dawgs but I am not so disrespectful of Clemson that I don't give them a punchers chance. I'm fairly certain that if we turn the ball over more than once & give up several quick TDs (i.e. big plays) then yeah, we could be in for a long, frustrating Sat. night. That said, I don't think they beat us without winning the turnover battle &/or hitting 3 or more big plays. So, I really do like our chances of keeping one if not both of these things from happening.

I think that paragraph is well stated. Just in case Palmer03 comes back in here, and as far as I'm concerned, he's welcome to come back BEFORE Sunday (either way), I'll say there is a REAL chance we lose this game. We could have a "Catastrophe in Clemson" kind of game like the one in Columbia last year. If we get flustered by the crowd and start making mistakes, the bad guys could easily win. If we lose the turnover battle and suffer blown coverages like we did against Missouri last year (YES, Sheldon Dawson, that was YOU), then not only might we lose, but we might lose BIG.

I just look at the teams though, and believe that as long as we don't get beat by first game jitters, we should win. As good as their offense is, it lost a really good RB and Center, and has a star QB and WR. Our offense has a star QB and 6 star WR and 100% veteran o-line (2 deep!), and two star TEs and two star FBs and not one but TWO star/stud RBs. I take nothing away from Climpsn - I just think our offense SHOULD be better. Our defense is relatively unknown, but Climpsns defense has a track record - of vulnerability, especially to the deep ball. To me that SHOULD equate to a win. That doesn't mean I give Climpsn no chance.

thriller, when John Lilly speaks to the talking heads and says he is really excited (pumped up) for this game, speaks volumes. Think maybe the game plan has a couple of his position players involved? Just listening to what is said, reading between the lines . . . . sometimes coach speak gives us an inkling of what might be.

Always some GREAT reading on here!!! The knowledge of not only UGA football but college football in general is outstanding on this site! With that being said, there is NO way that Clemson can handle our LETHAL O! Think about it, how is Kirby Smart even gonna game plan for us this year in SEC CG? So you know BV is NOT going to sleep very good tonight and I can assure you that if I were in his shoes then I would NOT sleep a wink Friday night!

Call me a "Homer", tell me to keep drinking from the "Red and Black kool aid", but I'm utterly convinced that things have changed at UGA from the top down! I thought last year would start our long run of MNC but we watched the game, no doubt if we beat Bama then we all know what the outcome against ND would have been! So, with almost a full returning powerful and well balanced O from last year how do we not win it all? Yea our D is young and most are worried about them but I'm NOT at all. These kids are freaks and they are out there to prove that they can compete! It's not like we have a bunch of slouches on D, we are just unknown and haven't been tested yet! But the fact is all of our kids on D are GREAT athletes with speed like I've NEVER seen on a D!

Also, I'm glad that we aren't getting too much talk or much respect cause that keeps our young guys humble and grounded! Look at how the media blew up USC last year, yea they folded under pressure! I'm predicting that Manzeil will NOT be called Johnny Football this year. The media is all over Clowney and I'm sure that BEAST will handle the pressure BUT he may not be as productive against the better teams this year, at least I hope that's the case against us! One game at a time Flanagan...

I will end it with this... I'm the biggest Dawg fan that I know (of course my wife would argue that she is) and I spend way too much time following our program and college football in general. Not that I don't enjoy it but man I can really get caught up in watching HS YouTube vids of recruits and reading every article on the net haha! What I'm trying to say is this, like I said I thought last year was the beginning and actually it was after the SEC CG. My opinion CMR saw the light per say and his mindset evolved and in my opinion that's what we needed! The talent has been there for years as for as our kids go but the intensity just wasn't quite there all the time with CMR. My point being, we NOW have the total package from the top to the bottom and it will show this year! TG will coach up our young D and they will be prepared and ready! Our D will prevail Sat night my friends and our O will dominate from the first snap! As a HS QB and now a HS QB coach/OC I'm also looking to get HM as many big game snaps this year as possible! Look for HM in the 4th quarter my fellow Dawg fans...

I would like to add that I think AM will have maybe his best game EVER Sat night! I also see Bennett having a huge game and Conley having some big plays. Not sure how Davis will be used but good look catching that kid in open field. Gurley and Marshall will open up our play book and they will both rush for a big lump of yards but I see an airreal attack before its all over with!

Speaking of Marshall. I'm a BIG fan of this kid and by the end of the season he maybe our premier TB. I'm not taking anything away from Gurley and if I'm wrong then I'm fine with that cause both of our backs our studs and will more than likely be the best two backs in the Nation this year. Back to Marshall, I think someone on here said that Marshall was a Reggie Bush with pop, now that he put on some solid muscle mass. That is spot on in my opinion! Look for BIG things from Marshall this year.

PS-we also have Nick Chubb coming in next year, holy crap that kid is a beast!

Good reads sflanagan21.

I also believe that Marshall is going to do more than move the sticks this season. Did not realize until recently that he had some medical problems last season. Not enough to keep him from playing, but the kind of thing that annoys the heck out of a running back.

When he made the play (catch) in Orlando, he was making a statement, and AM was doing the pitching. Look for that at some point against Clemson.
