True, Buc. Jarvis Jones and Alec Ogletree will NOT be the last two great linebackers we have. I think our front 7 will be better. Size is nice, but I keep going back and watching Jenkins and Geathers. They were slow. Fast for BIG guys, but slow in general. And 'Bama, Ga. So., Ga. Tech, and Nebraska all PROVED that you can, in fact, shove that size around (hate to say that, being a homer). I keep going back to Boise State - they had VERY small guys up front - and kicked our fat tails.

Ramik hints of team speed. I'm glad he realizes that Boyd is going to be thinking "run" first, pass second. As long as we can get off blocks and get to Boyd, this game won't be close. And something tells me our secondary won't just completely drop off. Swann is back. Dawson is back (hope he learned something from last year). Between Fluker, Moore, Matthews and Norman - I have to believe we can find a way to make at least a few stops and prevent the catastrophic collapse we suffered against the 'Cocks last year.

Our offense is a LOADED WEAPON.

Edit: Need to add Quincy Mauger to that list of DBs. Sounds like he wants some playing time.

One thing that both of us know is this . . . . If a team cannot stop the run, don't care if we are talking Pee Wee football, going to be a bad experience for the team that cannot deal with it.

Guessing what Clemson will try to do against us. They are going to see just how much push they can get against our front.

You bring up an excellent point in your post thriller about "big" can be moved. Boise State is the perfect example. Another problem is if "big" does not play position football. Gap responsibility. Team ball. Deep down, think we once again have "team ball" coming out of Athens. Welcome sight. Saturday night we will get a first hand view.

One thing that I try and keep in my views of the teams and schedules we play. Kicking game in the SEC is an absolute must. Can't start to name all of the games won because of those putting toe to leather. Would not be surprised to see our kicker sit for "two games". Like it or not, sends a message to the team as a whole.

Quincy Mauger is a football player. Going to be a Special Teams plus for sure. If memory serves me correctly, believe he was a very important factor in our starting freshman cornerback choosing Georgia. Brendan Langley. Another young man that stayed home, thought at one point he would end up playing for SS. Brendan Langley has some of the same characteristics as Tray Matthews.

Last but not least, going to be interesting to see how many players actually hit the field in the opening game. Get that stat after we take care of business.

Go Dawgs, coach'em up . . . . :)

 Feel it also. TN Dawg some of the "not knowing for sure" comes into play for this game. Not so much who will win, just watching live action from these young men that have moved up and will put it on the line for the Red and Black.

A better team might beat them at some point, do not however believe this group, both offensively and defensively will quit. Means a lot to me, and am sure everyone else. Tennessee a few years back and South Carolina last season. Cannot stomach losses of that type.

Bits and pieces that have been given to us from the coaches about certain players, now we get to see what our leaders are all about, both coaches and players.

Like Mark Richt's away record for the most part, still have nightmares about Memphis, Tennessee.

thriller, also watched our opener against Boise State after you had mentioned them in your post. Next came South Carolina last season. This group will not fall into the same trap that the other two did. Many on the offensive side participated in both games, experience should not be a problem.

I remain one of those that think in this direction . . . . AM, Marshall, Gurley, Hicks, two tightends, experienced offensive line with backups. Then I look at Clemson and ask myself one question . . . . Would I trade for their offensive unit, including of course Tajh?

If there are injuries in the game, which team has the deeper depth chart?

Looks to me that we score 40 or more. After a couple of quarters, as has been said on this board, depth on the defense will prove too much for the Tigers.

More and more it looks like 42-17 or 45-20 to me. Believe that is a 25 point difference either way. :)

Edit: Guess I should mention we have receivers that are special. These guys will drive the Clemson DB's nuts. Don't believe we have two receivers that are exactly alike.

Watkins is a fine receiver, no doubt. He will face a defensive team that is aware of his talents and will disrupt much of what he does against lesser athletes.

Buc scores another one for the Red and Black. No way I swap our receiving corps for Clemson's. Still do not believe that a quarterback and one great receiver can defeat this group of Dawgs. Just don't.
