I see more of a two back set with a back in the slots and used on a fly pattern,or other variations across the middle, but something quick hitting never the less. It could be deadly, we have all the ingredients. GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why can't we get the ball into the hands of all our playmakers. I agree with spreading out the field and let our speed in open field make defenses pay. Do you remember when Spurrier and UF would dink-dink-dink down the field until he had a one-on-one matchup he liked and then went deep. Hitting receivers on short, controlled passes not a lot different than running the ball.

Remember it well TN Dawg. Simple little flat pass was worth 7-10 yards every snap. When the time came as you said, could just see that receiver wide open on his way to the end zone.

WM was a lost puppy, thought his cover two could handle anything. When the coaching change was made, nothing really changed, Urban put a couple of wrinkles in and we know how that went. Don't mean this to be ugly, it is however the truth, Florida's ability to beat our defensive and offensive coaching was not a huge task. I truly don't mean that as ugly, all we have to do is look at the defensive side of the ball and the changes that were made in a short time prove the point.

All of the "supposed" talent on the offensive side of the ball, that falls on Bobo/Richt. Grantham has nothing to do with that. His job is to prevent and add possessions to the offense. :)

speaking of Fullbacks Chip Towers blog today on who is #1 on the depth chart at that position

>>> Georgia released its first depth chart since spring football. There were a lot of changes there but one interesting one was Merritt Hall, a 5-foot-11, 216-pound redshirt freshman walkon from Alpharetta was listed as the starting fullback. He was ahead of Richard Samuel — who is not listed among the tailbacks — and Zander Ogletree. It might be as much a message for incoming true freshman fullback Quayvon Hicks, who Richt raved about, as it was the guys already here.

ogredawg, like the fact that folks are stepping up. I am probably wrong, maybe not totally, but there is room for thought.

Nothing would please me more than to see the return of "working" ones butt off to claim a position.

Still believe that I have seen changes made that have a "positive effect" on UGA Football. Changes that I am referring to are coaches getting a tighter grip on "their" way of coaching the vast amount of talent that passes through Athens. Like you, I really don't need to see different day same plan. Think both of us know what I am trying hard to say. :)

I think if we're not loaded we're loading and OGRE's example of a walkon fullback listed as #1 on the depth chart should tell some folks what they need to do find a spot............

The sun shines on a different Dawg every day

Buc, working a rear end off to get a job should work on the field like it does in life, huh? Put the best man on the field at every position. I think CTG said something about that at one point.

Either you are reading my mind or . . . . Todd Grantham said it . . . . :)

One thing that I really like about this board thriller, there are no "FIRSTS" or folks that just "walked up". There are many that have been around the Red and Black for many years and have the competence to discuss UGA Football. Not from year to year, but from decade to decade. Old Farts. ;)

Back to your comment above . . . . It will take a lot for me to believe that UGA Football did not change when McGarity/Grantham came on board. The tone has changed.

Allow me this . . . .
I believe that there are teams that have players in our conference that will show us up on occasion. I also believe that we can do that. Tough conference, hard to be the best at "every position" on every play.

What I really like is the fact that Grantham and his crew have sectioned the football field off much like a surveyor does. Said it once, have said it more than that . . . position football, WM NEVER UNDERSTOOD THAT. Trying to be civil, do like "most" of what I see. :)
