Actually it kinda of contradicts everything Richt said before the bowl about setting the tone for spring ball and next season. Hmmm maybe we have been giving McGarity too much credit?
I think you missed McGarity's point. I think he's right on with what many posters here have said. What I read in his comment is this: the outcome of that field goal wouldn't have changed the fact that the O-line and RBs did not perform. The defense did not hold a team that was inside it's own 20 with no time outs and less than 2 minutes in the game. His point is that - as this thread title states - win or lose, we have issues.
bulldawg36869, I think what McGarity is saying is that even if Walsh makes that FG, we have obvious deficiencies that MUST be addressed.
If I'm wrong about what he meant, then we don't have any hope until Richt, Bobo AND McGarity are gone. I think I'm right in my interpretation.
