We've got plenty of offensive identity. In fact, I think we have 3 or 4 of them.
Oh wait.. you probably meant just having one... that will work consistently in the SEC.
Nevermind.

wlayton . . . Brother you hit the bullseye with that post. Said somewhere in one of the threads that I think Friend is the man. Leave him alone and let him do his thing, recruiting and coaching.
Who on this board would have truthfully thought that our defense would be this good under a second year coach. Know we haven't played lights out yet against a really good team, but Grantham's bunch keep getting better. Loving this depth thingy that is building on the defense.
Come on Friend . . .

That would be a welcome change wlayton. Let our new FRIEND handle the OLine evaluations & recruiting efforts.
I really hope we get highly rated Avery Young from Palm Beach Gardens to join John Theus at tackle in Athens. He had a cousin play for UGA (not sure who) but he currently has a cousin playing TE for Auburn. wlayton, you got any reads on which way AY might be leaning? Think i heard it's likely a Dawgs-Gators show down for his services.
Vadal Alexander (the highest uncommitted OL in GA) just committed to LSU as expected. I'd really love to see the Dawgs steal Brandon Greene from Bama or Joe Harris from South Carolina but I don't even know if our coaching staff is still pursuing either of these 2 Peach state hosses who we'd already offered. Regardless, we've only got 3 verbals on the OL for 2012 (J. Theus, C. Brown, & G. Pyke). How many OLinemen do yall think we'll sign in the class of 2012?

from what CMR wants to what actually happens on the field" post.
I think Richt does have an offensive identity. I seem to recall us running out of the I, and
having a really effective play action passing game. Nothing wrong with that identity at all.
Then something happened: That something being the reins of the offense were turned over to
Mike Bobo.
Sadly, Richt is the one that made that call, so I guess I'm not really defending Richt at all.
The deeper and deeper we got into the reign of Bobo, which I compare to the reign of Nero although
admittedly I am at a loss to know exactly what he was fiddling with while our legacy burned. Check that, I don't really want to know the answer to that question. I know what you're saying right
now.. that I should have used the reign of Caligula, but that comparison has been reserved for
the reign of Damon Evans, what with the panties and all that.
But I digress. Back to the topic at hand, which is obviously BUC saying my post was funny, no
matter what anyone else says. This of course leads to the next question.. which is: Who the
heck is it that says it WASN'T FUNNY???I want names. Preferably in MS Excel format.
Anyway, CMR had an offensive identity once. I just wish he would get off his duff and get rid of the
guy that lost it for him.
