Yes he did Wlayton

Durring the game I couldn't decide if usc was just flat or if uconn was that good - by the end I felt like uconn played harder - wanted the game more than usc - usc became frustrated due to Lakatos playing his defenders perfectly - he had thier number - I'm sure he's looking forward to accomplishing the same this year

Guess I am a dummy in believing that Martinez knew defense. The two points made in the attached David Hale blog are unbelievable. That a D would let a receiver run free, and that the best were not playing. Thank goodness for Todd Grantham and his wanting to put the best out there. As David says though, this is Spring and we will know for sure when the games are for real.

DFIT, good to hear from you again also. Think it probably goes without saying that I am a huge supporter of David Hale. Read the same article and it had me talking to myself. I check DH out everyday, several times a day. He changes and updates his reports throughout the day.

Sad part DFIT about the receivers running free, our DB's did not have a clue as to who was to cover. Said it many times last couple of years, Martinez had not a clue on how to run the cover 2. It will be real interesting to see how Oklahoma does this year, and whether or not they will be in a supposed cover 2.

Hey Buc, it will be interesting to see OU's defense because of Stoops being a defensive coach.....and a good one. ACTUALLY puzzles me that Stoops would even consider WM much less hire him!!!!! :S

wlayton, I am again in your camp. Stoops did well at UF and of course he has had some really good NFL defensive hires from his squads. Looks like a couple in the top five draft this year. One offensive and one defensive. Stoops/Martinez . . . . ??

It begins and ends with the defense.
