It's going to be interesting to see how good of a coach he really is - he's lost very good offensive and defensive co-ordinators the last 2 years - He may turn out to be like you know who coaching those chickens - you have to have GOOD coaching around you as well as yourself - I think CMR finally came to that conclusion and think CTG & company just may be the start of something VERY BIG

Excellent post RabunDog. Could not agree more with your point on CMR.

UF has a very good QB in Brantley, just real glad that we are in the 3/4 and can bring that pressure from unknown spaces.

SS thought at one point that he could coach anywhere and win championships. Last two have not been too successful. Truth be told, with the amount of talent that resides in Florida, hard not to have a successful team. Heard/saw somewhere that they are working a bit on the 3/4.(meaning UF)

My biggest concern at this point is something that I should not be thinking about . . . don't want CTG to leave UGA. It is probably inevitable. Just know that we are where you mentioned in your post RabunDog . . . CTG & company just may be the start of something VERY BIG.

Open up wlayton, you know more than you are telling these days. Thoughts?

I agree them lizzards do seem to keep bringing in top talent but coaching is still the key - remember during DOOLEY's reign they also usually had better talent but we had better coaching and good talent - that's why I'm so pumped about CTG&company

Yes they will be good as usual this year - but they may stumble a bit - just hope we can be one of those stumbling blocks

I don't think you have to worry about CTG's future anytime soon - if he is as succesfull as we all hope - he won't be going anywhere - he'll be moving up right where he is

Well Buc, here's my list of what I think (for now )

1. CTG will be here 3-4 years, completely turn the D around, then get a HCing job somewhere.

2. AM is going to be the next DJ Shockley....dynamic player, leader and our starter for the next 4 years.

3. Our offense will be in the top 3 in the SEC this year, then LEAD the SEC the next 3 years.

4. Our special teams are going to be outstanding and lead the league THIS year...

5. Our D is going to be extremely aggressive, making some adjustment mistakes during the season, creating many turnovers, giving up some big plays......but will be in the top half on defense in the SEC this year and will be competing with Bama for the best D in the SEC for the next 3 years.

6. Overall......we may lead the the conference in scoring (at least top 3), the D will be top 5 and our SP's #1 in the conference. Will be between UGA and UF for the East this year. Next three years we will win the East each year, the SEC twice and the NC once.

How's that for confidence?

I agree with some exceptions

#1 - he'll still be at UGA
#2 - maybe only 3 yrs - you know good ones don't stay the whole time
#3 - more than 3 years
#4 - A lot better - maybe not the leader but certianly up there
#5 - More than 3 years
#6 - It could happen
