The recruiting finish line

BS, understand your strong feelings, you would not be much of a Dawg if the fur on your back did not stand up on occasion.

We have some serious talent on campus, for example, AJ and his band of merry men. We have receivers and there are many coming out of high school next year.

Orson Charles, is going to be a stick of dynamite this year. Got to believe that Brown will show us why he was rated so highly. Wooten who I watched in Florida is the real deal. Tight ends, hell we have it all.

I am one of those that believe that defense wins football games. As an example, look at what Saban has done with Bama. Made damn sure they could stop the opponent. We have a coach that has experience under Saban, and that ain't bad.

Great butt kicking 3/4 defense coming to a theater near you this year . . . . :woohoo:

Nice post Buc. Too many, including myself, get caught up the with recruits rankings. Ut has had great luck stealing receivers. Believe they stole one from Flordia last year(Richardson). Oh yeah, he ended up finishing his year in the Knox County Prison for armed robbery.

This is the year we get back to our roots. Hard-nosed, hard hitting, great tackling, DEFENSE.

GO DAWGS.

AllDawgs5 back at you.

Seem to remember Kiffin landing in Knoxville when taking the helm and high tailing it to meet with Brown. First potential recruit he spoke with. That receiver landed with us, guess what goes around comes around. Hoping that Brown gets his route running down and has a incredible day against UT. This offense has the tools to be real special.

I have a feeling that the other schools used our situation in thier favor. And that some of the kids bought into their thoughts. For the ones that did, I say.....SEE YA, we didn't want you anyways! And for the ones who didn't, I say....WELCOME ABOARD and GLAD TO HAVE YA!!! I want someone who wants to be a dawg. Some of these kids nowdays are so easily pursuaded in thier opinions. And as for Rogers, I think he is gonna be more trouble than he is worth!!! Just my opinion.

Check this link out about Georgian Markeith Ambles, a very heavily recruited WR who UGA DID NOT offer….

blogs.ajc.com/recruiting/2010/02/03/mark...fid=blogs_recruiting

Supposedly he’s had numerous run-ins with teachers and students as well. THUG. However everybody else was hot after him.

Goes to show you WHY we don't go after some kids!!!!!!

MORE tidbits of interest.........

UGA also added a late addition. Lonnie Outlaw, WR from Wilcox County. None of the sites even had a ranking on him. All I know is that he’s a 6’7” wide receiver. He’s supposedly very thin and a very raw prospect. He’s been more of a basketball player. However, a note of interest is that he’s Nick Marshall’s cousin. Marshall is a junior QB at Wilcox, and potentially the #1 prospect in Georgia next year.

By the way, ESPN is reporting UGA as signing day’s biggest loser. Not good publicity at all….

wlayton, being retired, watching ESPNU and most of what is going on. At this point in the afternoon 1:30, UGA is still being ranked as #9. Goes to show that if we had been soundly coached, no telling where we might be ranked.

It was time for UGA to be called out. Athletes surround Athens, just have to get that old \"Junkyard Dawg\" feeling back. Think that we are fixing to see that. The reincarnation of Erk.

Also liked the fact that Coach Grantham retained Coach Garner. Do not believe he would have done that if RG did not fit his plans. RG has had a lot on his shoulders for a lot longer than probably most of us are aware. Know this, he has recruited some incredible athletes to Athens. For one, I am glad RG is still standing among the ashes.

Go Dawgs!!
