The recruiting finish line

The worst close to a recruiting class that I can ever remember at UGA. We may not wind up with a top 20 class.

Akins to UCF. That’s right. I said UCF over UGA.
Boone to LSU

We at least did get Mike Thornton. That’s it unless there are is a surprise.

Wlayton, I agree. here is what concerns me. I don't care that a 17 year old changes his mind. What I care about is the fact that thye core of our staff (HC, Rec. Coor, etc) has been here for years.

We lost a battle with teams who have new coaches and out of state!! (AUB with Whitaker, Telvin Smith with FSU, and Rogers whose new coach has been there TWO freakin weeks, now, we lose a kid to UCF for goodness sakes!!!) Think about that: we were stiffed on our WR, so Boone could have come here and been well frecived by the Nation. But what happens? We lose him to UCF who has a brand new school.

THAT is not acceptable under any circumstances.

I am not saying have a Lane Kiffin clone, but dang it, let someone go and bring in a hungry, young guy who will outwork other staffs--a LITTLE ego, mouth, in your face attitude won't hurt.

Either get rid of Garner and get a hungry guy to be the Rec. Coor., or get rid of Bobo and det a more aggresive recruiter for that position of OC.

Now, I know you can make some 3 stars into NFL ALL Pros. However, when you sign more 3 stars than you do 4 stars, you are looking for trouble in 2013.

I believe Grantham will help a lot more in the coming years on the D side of the ball. If I had NFL aspirations, it would be a great stepping stone to play for him. He didn't have much time.

True. But Garner, Bobo, Richt, Ball, etc did have time and we lost Rogers, lost a battle for Boone, etc. We run a pro style offense and should not have a problem getting these kids-especially the ones from Georgia.

Certainly agree with you. (we lost Rogers because of a \"slick\" move by UT and his ignorance).

I'm a little disappointed with this class but then again we need to think from a players perspective. We are young and loaded at almost every position with sophomores and juniors. Plus it doesn't help that we went 8-5 last season with embarrassing losses on national TV.

At the end of the day this past season hurt more than I think we are all willing to admit. Plus choking the year before with one of the most explosive offenses I've ever seen at Georgia didn't help.

I can't believe anyone would already call for Garner's head. You have to be kidding me. I think crap defense has more to do with this cycles recruiting class more than anything. Now that Grantham is here I would expect this recruiting class to be a fluke as opposed to the new trend.

Go Dawgs!!!!
