Warty, I am a Georgia fan.

However, if the bring lane Kiffin to Athens I am putting both my uga sweat shirts in the attic. Only break them out if uga wins the natty and I'll jump on the bandwagon. B)

Count me in in not wanting Kiffen as well.

I'm sure he could and would do a good job, but I don't want his baggage representing UGA.

I'm not going to boycott or anything, but I think there are other choices that would do an equally fine job without bringing the same history.

Plus I don't think it will be long before he is offered another collegiate HC job, so why bring him and his baggage on knowing he could very well be gone anyway in a year or two.

Just seems to me we can make a better long term choice.

A thought of mine Wartdawg is that Kirby Smart is not going to bring every coach from Alabama, will not happen.

Kirby Smart is coming to UGA as himself. Nothing wrong with lessons learned, actually a very good thing. Call it "close mouth, open ears".

Kirby Smart will select those that think much like he does, and he does have a background with offensive football. Just happens to be one of those assistants that listened to his leader and became an outstanding defensive coach.

No and there's a risk in bringing over too many of "Saban's" guys. They will to some degree always be thought of as Saban's guys and I'm sure Smart want's his coaching tree, not Nick's.

I'm sure a couple of people may come over, but I really never saw Kiffen being one of them anyway. Why would Kiffen leave the Nick Saban safety net to step into the great unknown with Smart knowing full well he's just biding his time to his next HC job?

Just don't see it... that's a low reward/higher risk move than just staying where he's at. He has no need to come to UGA to make a name for himself and would risk tarnishing his name if Kirby struggles for the first couple of seasons.

So Kiffen... I'll voice my opinion about him coming over but I sure don't see it happening.
