Continue to read and came across this . . . .

This falls on the lap of quarterback Greyson Lambert. He has to be more consistent when it comes to making plays in the passing game. It’s more difficult with Nick Chubb out for the season, but Lambert will have to use all his skill players to make up for Chubb’s loss.

This is the GARBAGE that comes from those that want to charge for "their" opinions. What the hell is that BS above in italics?

Has been said to me that I am a bit "firm" with the media. Some need to get on the media's backside, they are not "all that". Have not seen "Pouty" mentioned recently. AJC changed their way of approaching Georgia Football. Have you folks noticed? Simple question for all of "us". Should the AJC and the ABH "instruct us" on football.? Believe this . . . . all about the "hits".

I've watched every second of film that I could find on Eason and he is a stud no doubt about that and he has a cannon for an arm! But he is playing against a bunch of undersized slow kids that make him look like a super hero. That's NOT a knock on how good I think he can be but he is going to be in for a rude awaking when he throws his first pass in the SEC against some VERY fast opponents. I will leave it at that but I don't think Eason is going to be the "savior" in 2016. Man I hope I'm WRONG!

A lot of this post that I agree with.

sflanagan21, this is my question to the post.

Who on the Georgia offensive staff is going to move Eason forward. Meaning . . . . coach him up. Not being ugly, asking. I remember AM leaving the Athens campus twice for improvement in his game.

What has changed at the quarterback position? Richt is still the head coach, Schottenheimer is the new hire for offensive coordinator.

I have great respect for your knowledge, that is the reason I would ask you the above. You coach those in the backfield, have friends that are close to our university. Is there something that myself and others don't see or . . . . understand.

Buc, I will try really hard to get to my point so please bare with me Brotha. Being that I have never spoken to Eason or really watched him work through his mechanics its really hard for me to know all of his strengths and weaknesses like a recruiter would see and know. Other words I'm not even sure how to grade him by what I've seen just from highlight reels. He has all the tangibles to be a 5 star QB in HS but so did Driskel.

Okay to my point. I don't think Richt does a bad job at coaching up QB's especially if you look at say Mason and what he and Bobo did to make Mason as good as he possibly be. I honestly think they got the very best out of Mason. I think Richt's problem when it comes to QB's is his evaluation in the QB's he recruits. I mean we've had some straight up misses at QB if you really stop and think about it. I won't bore you with all of the misses but I will name 3 in the recent years that I would have never recruited out of HS. Joe Cox, Christian LeMay and Brice Ramsey. I've also expressed my feelings towards Lambert as well. Keep in mind to that I don't see even an 1/8th of what they get to see from an athlete during the recruiting process so my take is just what I saw that caught my eye and threw a red flag. Also after one visit to Gainsville, Ga I would have offered Deshaun Watson a scholly!

Okay really, now to my point. I'm not sure Richt or Shotty will have a hard time coaching up Eason. I think the skill set and mind set is there for Eason to be a very good QB but the learning curve maybe very painful as a fan to watch next season. The speed of the game is going to be on level that Eason can't even fathom right now but I don't think there is much that Richt or Shotty can do to help him there he will just need to figure that out as the season moves forward. I hope that made sense to you. I'm not saying Eason doesn't need to be developed because obviously he does and Richt will mold him into what he wants. I'm saying that from what I see Eason is probably going to be all that. My fear is that the game speed and the shear physical damage that he is going to feel is going to be a shocker for him and it will take some time for him to catch up to that.

Perfect scenario for Eason coming in would have been for us to have NEVER brought in Lambert and to allowed Park to learn on the job against ULM and Vandy. Then redshirt Eason next season and groom him to take over in 2017 if he beat out Park or in 2018 after Park left. Then you do the same with Hockman and so on and so on so there is never a huge gap in talent like we have now at the QB position. And I realize you're not going to get an AM or Stafford every time but if you recruit a top 10 QB every single year then that raises your chances to never end up with a Joe Cox or Lambert.

The only way for Lambert to be consistent with all the skill players is to signal in the plays for Bauta to execute...

Buc, after reading what I wrote I may not have made my point after all haha. I think Eason is going to be just fine but (and this is my opinion and I'm not a college recruiter) because of the talent level he faces week in and week out I believe there will be a BIG learning curve for him. Sitting here today on Oct 21st 2015 all signs are pointing to Eason more than likely being our starter next year. There is nothing wrong with starting a freshman QB in today's time and standards but I would think that you would want to redshirt your QB if you could and allow him to settle into the playbook and the speed of college football. And not have to have him come in wet behind the ears and throw him to the wolves. I only say this about Eason because of the competition that he plays against and it's nothing against him personally because he looks to be exactly what you want if you're looking for a pro style QB.

We don't have a shortage at quarterback right now what we have is a person that doesn't want to give up his ego and let somebody outside the arena be right

Truth Growl. But I firmly believe that Bauta was recruited for scout team purposes only and until richt plays him and proves me wrong then I will continue to think that's why he recruited him. If you look at like that as I do then you don't even put Bauta in the equation which leaves us with 2 QB's on the roster with scholarships and you can pick your poison with either. To me that means a shortage...

But I totally agree with you that we don't have a shortage at QB we just have an egotistical stubborn mule making the calls!
