My coach would have said something like, "Go get me my 3 points!".
Believe you also played defensive back thriller.

Important a jockey's knowledge of his horse is to winning
Some need a touch of the whip some don't and will
Not bring the desired results....
CMR felt his words to MM before the kick was what
MM would respond to. Like others who have posted on this subject....
It is all options like mine..... Results is MM made the kick
True he may have made it without HC's words
MM. Laughing said SM told him just make the kick....
Which he did..... This is not an by any means an endorsement of our HC just opinion...
Go Dawgs

Anyway..... I agreed it was all sweet and beautiful, wonderful as a life hack and all that... but the words "go out and make a kick you know you can make with your eyes closed" could have been just effective.
What do you want to hear before a big game with Alabama?
"Go do what you know you can do and take what is yours"
or
"You're value as a human has nothing to do with winning this football game. Your value is that you're loved because you're an awesome human being".
BEFORE you take the field to do battle, I know which one of those is the best and it's not the second one, that's for sure.
God Bless and Go Dawgs

When he said it I thought.....surely it was ONLY for his kicker and he doesn't say that to any other player position.
Can buy trying to calm down your kicker but nothing like that said to any other position on the field......that's reserved for radical, in your face, butt kicking comments.

ReservoirDawg wrote: Stevedawg, I'm scared to death of the rest of the games this season. Even the Georgia Southern game has me a little intimidated.
Considering the fact that the Dawgs have only beaten "lesser" teams and lost to "competitive teams". I just have a bad feeling about The Cocktail Party.
Given the bye week, CMR has a bad habit of being even MORE ill-prepared after a bye week. Sorry, still thinking about last season.
From being ill-prepared, to conservative or bad play calling, to squib kicks(last season again), I just can't get my hopes up against the swamp lizards.

ReservoirDawg, taking a look at the rest of our schedule and the gator schedule.
JAX is a huge game for Dawgs and gators. Understatement if ever there was one.
Take a look at the remaining schedule for the gators. They win in JAX, it is of course over for us, in more ways than one. This is truly a game that I believe solid coaching wins.
Right now, hate to say this but . . . . we are lost on offense and the gators are playing better football on defense this year compared to last year. Many of the same players, just a simple change of coaches that Foley made.
Leadership. Foley has a different type of Mahogany Row and Public Relations Group, he answers to Bull Gators. Those above him want wins, period. Until we understand that . . . . appears that we continue that "Roller Coaster Ride" . . . . commonly known as, "next year".
