Another Look at "Possibilities"

Seems EVERYONE has a lot of confidence in the front 7 we will put out there this season.

Have read where several have said that the front 7 will be very good. Coming from David Pollack, worth paying attention to. Not that far back in time, there was a lot of praise being heaped on our defense under grantham. Maybe that was the problem, back when.

When I read that Toby Johnson had to be doubled team throughout the Spring, that is a good thing. The other side of that bothers me a bit . . . . offensive line. Lots of good defensive lines on our schedule.

Not to be a downer, just passing along my thoughts.

Dawg With Style, really looking forward to Floyd this season. Might be that Jenkins and others will show more QB gets, along the lines of Floyd is no longer a secret. Has been said that Jenkins prospered greatly his first year playing with Jarvis Jones.

Still look at it like this, opposing quarterbacks are going to be forced to get rid of the ball much quicker than they did prior to Pruitt/Rocker. Have watched more video on Pruitt at FSU. He did have a lot of athetes, but the way he used them, much different than what we have seen recently. Pruitt/Rocker will "Turn the Dawgs Loose".

Edit: Read a couple of places on the internet where the players are using the word "accountability" this season. There is a story to be written about previous games if that is the "word" being used.

Agree that Pruitt will improve our pass rush. Last year's FSU D was one of the fastest D's I've seen in a while.....believe that is Pruitt's style and will see it on the field. Our front 7 matches up speed wise with FSU's last year, imo. Should be fun to watch.

There will always be plays that break our hearts, but the opposing team knowing that "we are coming" forces a different way of calling plays. Not telling you anything wlayton. Like me, sure you have watched and talked to some folks in Florida about Pruitt. Say again, many FSU supporters hated to see Jeremy Pruitt leave.

Edit: This is where a different coaching philosophy pays off. I believe Pruitt/Rocker and Company are going to develop at least a "two deep" defense. The dividends that we will reap from that approach down the road, could get exciting. Think Wartdawg mentioned continuing for many years moving forward. Saban has been a master at that.
