wlayton, my Brother and friend, the above statement scares the heck out of me. This old fart hoping to see more than "words" at this point in my life concerning the Red and Black.
One National Championship since the 1940's.
The support of our team is long reaching and committed.
Comes a time when those of us "outside the arena" have to question that length of time, especially when we are many times graded by the "talking heads" as a top talent recruiting unversity. If we have top five or ten talent, what clouds the final picture?
wlayton, remember you screaming, coming out of your chair, you and I know that you were right. Both of us have relaxed on occasion to "hope" something will change.
Might be that we will see some "change". Already see movements in the coaching staff, not sure that I see what I believe to be the "necessary change".
Goes further than replacing Mark Richt. Much "deeper" than that.
Sould not say this, but . . . . have not ducked too many "issues".
What I see in Athens is the same thing that I see going on with the IRS. Internal Revenue Service. There have been "cover ups" for many years, remembering that myself and others said a while back that only a portion of what is going on is presented to the "public".
Sometimes those that pay the bills are maneuvered in such a way as to believe all is well. A bit like reading over 2,000 pages of the health care bill. Who has done that?
Buc is a huge believer in Leadership. Leadership that is "understood".
Short time back Buc tried to believe that Leadership was moving forward. That along with "other things" removed me from the list of "believers".
Think that ogredawg says it well, show me, don't tell me.
Going into our fourteenth (14th) year under Mark Richt. Earn that 3+ million dollar income. 8-5 does not satisfy my taste for what I see. Three million dollars and can't recruit offensive linemen. Think that we are getting short changed. Yes, I do feel that we are and have been short changed.
Going on 14 years in Mark Richt's watch. McGarity is beginning to build up time as Athletic Director. Time in grade asks for answers.
