Almost all defenses today are flexible and show many different looks. Ends drop into zone and man coverage. LB's get down on the line. Players are so athletic and strong that many play the 3, 5, and 6 technique equally well. There are combo coverages..

The "looks" mean little and the main object of them is deception, confusion, and hesitation.
So how we look doesn't really mean that much to me other than "looking good".

I read the article and I laughed and laughed, just like I do when I read most articles posted on that rag that the ATL calls a newspaper

I read that article this morning and thought to myself what a useless rag the ajc is and especially how useless is a man that takes a subject that everyone and his brother knows and try to sell it as news. What a bunch of crap! I know the folks that own that rag can afford to find someone creative.

Seldom, almost never have I heard richt talk defense. Made me wonder why at this particular time. It seems to me that he is letting everyone know that he is the head coach, don't think another defensive coordinator is going to get all of the publicity. richt loves being the head coach, has made that crystal(?) clear. Maybe a bad choice of words/word there.

Media will be all over him, sucking up, they want their seat reserved in Athens. This was to be expected, as a matter of fact it was predicted in another thread or two recently on this board.

richt, stay out of the way, Defensive Coordinator Jeremy Pruitt understands defense, does not need any help. Did quite well every place he has coached, high school to the NC. You will have a face off at some point in the next three years with Pruitt, that is your MO.

Well Grantham did a pretty good job of doing all those things to his own defense. Somebody must have forgot to tell him that it is the opposing offense that it is supposed to be confused etc.
