The similarities to Erk, well, that's to be seen, tough shoes to fill.
Gene Stallings is a fine Christian man, but on the field of play, he was a foul mouthed terror.
Moral relevance and great coaching are not a contradiction.
Football of the past, like it a lot averagedawg.
Probably some have not seen the link below. Proves that richt needed help desparately. grantham had not recruited effectively and believed that recruits should come and bow before him. Truth.
Pruitt apparently is the reason for the quick decision by Godwin. As far as Lorenzo, he needs to go where he feels the system fits him best. One thing about Carter that I do like. He is going to make his announcement on NSD or close to that. Not doing a lot of chirping and playing the game that so many do . . . . "thoughts" . . . . Kamara.
While Shaq says ease up on the Brother, that game works both ways "Shaq". "Look at me" is becoming a lot less important to the college coaches today. Many, many good football players that are capable of filling the slots in the SEC and elsewhere.

Also believe the last 2 years FSU's talent is off the charts on the D side of the ball....especially the defensive backfield.
Realize we have very good talent in Athens but truly believe not quite to FSU's level on the D side of the ball....they have many NFL players on D.
That said, we WILL see just how good a coach Pruitt is going to be over the next few years. Imo, he will have to use his coaching skills a tad more in Athens....ESPECIALLY in the secondary. Looking forward to eyeballing the D next year for vast improvement.
Like many have said.....let's wait and see.

Yesterday Richard Sherman had a serious rant, while all might not accept what he did, there were reasons behind "some" of his behavior. Easy enough to find on the internet.
What Sherman said that I did like was . . . . "Seattle a team with 5th and 6th round draft choices playing as a team". Richard Sherman, I buy into that. Believe Pruitt will also when I read and watch some of the things he has said up to this point. Makes me think about the IC's and Kamara's. Move up to where the competition is, not BMOC anymore.
Pruitt had the opportunity to say at his press conference with richt that he would build a championship team within a 5 hour radius. 5 hours thing always had me a bit curious, 5 hours on an airplane is one thing, driving an automobile is another.
Charlie Strong head coach at Texas, have no reason to pull for Louisville. Two highest paid coaches on the Louisville team, scum bags in my way of thinking. Birds of a feather . . . . do stick together.
Believe that most on this board would agree that mark richt had created a huge hole for himself. Nothing wrong with helping out, but I say again, richt stay the hell away from Pruitt, let us see for ourselves what Jeremy can and can't do. We have been in the arena.

Believe CMR will leave Pruitt alone as well.......best way to "measure" a coach is to leave him alone, monitor and meet frequently, yes, but basically a hands-off approach.
Also hope Pruitt can steal/bring a couple of recruits.

I pulled this particular paragraph from the article, and this is my thought, (singular) on reading the content. If this does not point out the mistakes of OUR PAST, do not know what does. Maybe you agree, or not. Thoughts on this could be interesting. Not just the paragraph in bold, much more I think. How did this turn out for UGA, looking at the OVERALL?
And that’s the reason why conspiracy theorists suggest that UGA may try to get involved with Autry – if the Bulldogs feel they have to match Florida’s overtures to stay in Carter’s good graces. “Package deals” are common to get an elite recruit, and UGA has had some success with them in recent years, including John and Nathan Theus, Quintavious “Cootie” Harrow and Isaiah Crowell, Nick Marshall and Lonnie Outlaw, and Alex and Zander Ogletree.
Opinions? Remember our thoughts, mine and yours when we first committed to the above group. I do.

My expectations are only this..... a defense that doesn't embarrass me and that shows it belongs in the SEC.
Several posts back, can't get my mind off of Wartdawg's post.
Watching the 49ers and Seahawks go at it, really had my attention. Personally have moved away from the NFL in recent years, still keep up, but don't pay attention like I do to college football. Those two defenses (and offenses) went at each other. Yesterday in Seattle was not a place for boys. Outside of a couple of missed calls by the zebras, that reminded me of Erk football back in the day when defensive linemen weighed 260 at best, and thought they were 300 pounders.
Reminds me of a few years back when UGA was playing Florida, second half their players saying, look at them, out of shape, no heart.
Have mat drills in the program, remove mat drills from the program. Defensive coordinators that either don't understand the game or defensive coordinators that think they are "all that". My Brothers, that falls squarely on the shoulders of those that sit at the top.
Trying to get my head around the fact (I hope) that those at the top have made a good hire. They have been worthless or close to that for far too long. Our leader, does not understand leading. That is not being ugly, it is repeating what many say that watch UGA closely enough.
Notice how silent mcgarity has become? I have.
