Most on this board have said we have great recruiters in the HC and OC and the rest......now just because Pruitt comes along you actually think that he is going to be that big of a difference maker? We are a consensus top 10 and mainly a top 5 or 6 recruiting team. Is he going to bring us up to number 1.....highly doubtful...... is he going to recruit to our needs say like the O line?.......nah......don't see much difference in being number 1 and say number 6.....only difference I hope he can make is KEEPING the top guys in STATE with UGA.....but that ain't gonna happen either.....what is Pruitt gonna do, show all them kids the NC rings he won at ALABAMA and FSU..........

Keep up hope after all he has won with a D that was not recruited by him but by Jimbo Fisher..........

Maybe adding a couple of things to your post ogredawg.

The players that he coached at Alabama were sworn in by whom?

You make the point that Jimbo Fisher has been in Tallahassee longer than a year, guess the players were there because of Jimbo.

Not sure that I understand all of the Super Recruiter passages being passed along with the new hire. Feel that Smart and Saban had something to do with recruiting?

Then comes this from mark richt . . . .

Shortly after Georgia made it official that former defensive coordinator Todd Grantham was leaving for the same position at Louisville on Sunday, coach Mark Richt took to Twitter.

"The very best is yet to come!! Go Dawgs!!," Richt tweeted from his official account (@MarkRicht).

You buy it, you got it.

Another question . . . . Pruitt comes to Athens and starts at $850,000 per year. Mike Bobo makes what, and how many points have his offensive folks put on the board, saving these defensive coordinators butts? Adding up to UGA wins. Like it or not, that is a fact. What happens now, another boost for Mike Bobo? Why is a new defensive coordinator making more than our offensive coordinator? mark (rich) richt is the answer.

mark richt is very good at building up hope. Most of that hope comes from the uninformed. head coach back playing the "sheeples" like a fiddle.

Pruitt had an offense in Alabama, had an offense in Tallahassee. Which side of the ball won the National Championship? Auburn was eating FSU's defense alive. First really good team FSU had played all year. Auburn, brought down for the same reason that Garner's defenses were in Athens. No depth.

Excited fellows, we all have a right to look at what we have and express our views. mark richt has done it again, joining hands with the backers of UGA.

What is it that sadlerdawg has said more than once . . . . "get'em next year". Hope so, that way so many don't have to look like they just watched a football game for the first time.

Really happy that we found that missing element to put us in the final four. Some say one coach at a time. Just how many years will that take?

mark richt did it again.

EDIT: For the past two years I have tried my best to be logical and go with the flow. What I did not realize was this . . . . I was not being logical, I was being a second stringer. Never again with mark richt. He does not have the program at "HEART".

What a "cute" tweet he made for all to see. Makes me sick.

The hour is growing late and there has been much to digest in a short period

Like many I am of the wait and see what happens on the field mode with our new DC

I take comfort that while we didn't get what was needed that being a new HC

We don't get to deal with Toddy any longer A very good thing. True it seems like difficult process to get loaf of bread one slice at a time

Like I said earlier. Dull it ain't. Go Dawgs

Go Dawgs!

Like you Buc I am not buying into this DC is our savior. Been there done that and never will do that again. But the powers that be want the sheeples to buy it and of course they are. I thought we were hiring a DC not a "recruiter".......

Good luck Coach Pruitt you are going to need it.........

Well I believe everyone has shared their thoughts on the new DC, so I better share mind also.

Is he going to be better then Todd, I think so.

Is he going to be control by Richt, yea to a point I believe.

Will he stand up to richt, i t. hink so, after all he's got some NC rings to show Richt.

Will he change the defense (better) I think so.
After all look at Bobo. Boy has the O change in the last two years. Thanks also goes out to AM on that!

Let's say Pruitt and one outstanding defense player can work togetherfor 3 yrs the Dawgs D could be as good or better the the Dawgs D has been the last 2 yrs.

And I sure do hope they hire a ST coach and fire the one we have now....that's you Richt!

Well that's my 2ยข worth.

ogredawg, you and I, a couple of others took some pretty heavy shots a couple of years back when we tried to wish upon a star. You got a belly full before I did, and have seen a couple of heavy shots taken at you, through "homerism".

For some reason this new hire reminds me of Lane Kiffin. Both rising way too fast. Makes ones head reach the size of Barry Bonds on steroids. There is a thing called the "learning process" and I don't know that this is the case with Pruitt. Not down on Pruitt, not up on Pruitt, but showtime is now facing the new defensive coordinator.

mark richt has everyone back in line, has done that his entire time in Athens. Looking around, the koolaid drinkers are back in huge numbers. He can park his butt back in the security of Butts-Mehre knowing that someday he will have his bust along side VD. The "Group" is satisfied. mcgarity has the largest smile on his face outside of mark richt.
