At least we've all realized something now...

We are not an elite football program. Now we can proceed accordingly and stop having these foolish expectations.

We can recruit all the top 10 classes we want, and we will still be a second level SEC program due to our ineptitude
on the sidelines prepping for and during games..

Don't look for Gurley to be in on any Heisman discussion... don't look for UGA to be in any F4 playoff system..

It's not going to happen. We're a program that should enter each season hoping we can be in the top 20 when it's
all said and done. ...and by golly, when we are given a weak schedule and a few breaks, we might can achieve that
sort of thing.

but hey... we beat Georgia Tech regularly, so everybody just be happy, happy, happy.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

I firmly believe that nothing good happens until we come up with an offensive line, with depth.

I understand what Mike Bobo is trying to do with Gurley. Bobo knows the young man is hurt, he also knows that Gurley has the heart of a lion. Trying to utilize Gurley more in the passing game, in its own way, part of Gurley recuperating.

Offensive line is not moving defenses in such a way as to allow Gurley to continue to run the ball. Gurley is willing, it will only get him hurt at some point. He is definitely favoring the injury, which I believe to be more than an ankle, think he is having "hammie" problems also. Body works that way, favor one injury, creates other problems.

One problem I see with mark richt leaving . . . . still have the same "Group" replacing him. Check the head coaches names since VD left. Quite a list, and while we had gotten some hope from richt, this is many years later and what more can be said about him that has not been said repeatedly, ever since Memphis.

By the way, anyone watch UCF and Baylor? Another indication of what can be done with 2 and 3 star athletes . . . . coached up. 2's and 3's are hungry, work hard, get the job done. BCS win for UCF. There will be more, and it will definitely hurt our recruiting efforts in Central Florida.

Our players as DAWGtm said are promoting coach speak about next season. When I look over the recruiting that is going on right now, seems to me that the highly rated players are still leaving Georgia's borders.

Remember grantham said, we have to control our borders, agree with that. Other part of that is grantham needs to control the borders on the football field. He can't seem to do that. grantham is not a leader. He says things like . . . . "We put the players in the right position, they are not doing their job". You go grantham, keep chewing that damn gum and making excuses. All of us realize that it is the player's fault. BS.

Go Dawgs, Coach'em Up! That starts with a new head coach and athletic director. Sad thing, Disney put a load of money into the missing part of their puzzle, now have the SEC locked up and the "Group" will continue to get their money. Butts in the seats, soon to be a disappearing act in Athens under the current lack of leadership.

Damn, the word that NC_Dawg used, "Mediocrity", can't get it out of my mind. Facts don't lie.

Brothers, we will now see just where the leadership at the University of Georgia is coming from. I really don't expect to see change, because we will get them "next year, oops, this year".

It is up to us to keep the coaches feet to the fire. Enough time has been granted to mark richt to accomplish more than he has. As he said again this past year . . . . our goal is to win the SEC East. Probably should be saying, win the next game. He does not understand.

Ditto AllDawgs5. I hear you.

I am at the point now where I am just at a dismayed loss with this football program. All I heard all pre-season and into the regular season was how "young" the D was, and how they need time to mature, etc. etc. In other words, the excuses began even before the season started. This program, and it's players, are learning to be great excuse makers, not great football players, and this starts with the coaching staff. But lest I get into a "Richt needs to go" routine, I am resolved to accept the fact that it's not going to happen. Period. I am convinced that the leadership at the coaching level and the University level are quite content with 8-4 & 9-3 seasons. What does Richt say every year, "we're looking for a chance to play in Atlanta," not, "our goal is to win a National Championship." Well, I'll tell you this - I agree with the New Year's resolution that I will never again believe a single word of the hype of UGA having a big season or a stab at a National Championship berth so long as Richt is the head coach of this football program. Sorry, but I'm officially done, and shame on me for taking this long to reach this point. Mediocrity rules the day, and it was on display on that football field yesterday.

We are burning 4 and 5 star recruits like no one's business, and for all that talk about our D being young and inexperienced - they look far worse today than they did against Clemson. We have regressed, not progressed as a defense. Richt looked like a deer in the headlights out there yesterday, uninspired and uninterested. There is no fire in this football program, and it is reflected in his face. And McGarity is okay with this? Be rest assured, I am quite sure that Richt is at UGA until he decides to leave. So boys and girls, I'm doing us all a service right now by telling everyone - do NOT get excited about next season and you won't be let down.

This defense is just embarrassing. The 3rd and 23 against LSU was the crowning moment and season-defining play for this secondary. It spoke volumes. The 3rd and 13 for 99 yards and 6 points was just the icing on the cake to remind everyone in the bulldog nation that this defense, led by Todd Grantham, is a bridge that leads to nowhere. Is it any surprise to anyone that we have a big fat 0 players on defense declaring for the NFL? It is no question whatsoever that the problem with the D begins with TG. We're now 13 games into this "new D" and they're still taking wrong angles, missing tackles, giving receivers 10 yard cushions, getting torched on passing routes, throwing their hands up in utter confusion; it's like the Bad News Bears suited up in the red & black.

While I will never give up my love for UGA, I will not allow myself to be hurt anymore by continual letdowns and emotional roller coasters.

The "healing" will begin as soon as Richt is removed, or has the decency to resign.

I did watch UCF/Baylor

I thought it would be refreshing to watch a well coached football team for a change...

Fixed that for you...

These guys are not "average", and we all know it. They are decidedly well below average. After hearing TG in that clip Buc posted,
I'm not sure the guy even understands what cover 2 defense is, much less know how to teach it. MR is no better on O either. They've just
been able to recruit great enough skill players on O to be able to fool people into thinking they know something.
