Wow Grantham, before you sprain your shoulder patting yourself on the back, remember, this was APP ST. And not the FCS champion of a few years back, but a 2-8 App St that Montana also kept out of the end zone, and Furman and Samford held to a whopping 10 pts. But great job, "coach".

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

Ray Drew could not find his way onto the field for too many plays prior to Chris Wilson. Grantham is focused on those he brings to Athens to rush quarterbacks. More to it than that Grantham. Again, Mark Richt is the person responsible for bringing Ray Drew to Athens. Ray Drew the sack leader. Might be that the same Greyhound/Trailways bus that Muschamp will soon be on can stop in Athens and gather more.

lol@ the excitement over holding App St out of the end zone. Until our size and D-line rotation
just wore them out... the only thing that was stopping App St was their own miscues; penalties and dropped passes. Late in the game when we did start to dominate, it was Ray Drew going full on beast mode on 3rd downs more than anything else.

We were just too athletic for these guys to hang... we didn't out coach them. There were times we were still confused and out-called.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

Nick Marshall running and throwing the football, going to be a nightmare for Grantham. He is after all responsible for drawing up the defensive game plan. Grantham said that he likes a challenge, ok bubba, you get your wish Saturday the 16th. CBS will decide this week whether it is a day or night game. Bet here is that we play on CBS in the 3 o'clock time slot. Lots for the talking heads to talk about . . . . like Nick Marshall being a Dawg at one time. Garner being a Dawg coach at one time.

Auburn is running the ball more than throwing, running teams usually like playing against a 3 man front.

sadlerdawg, this will be interesting. Looks like AM has his work cut out for himself and his teammates. More worried about Auburn's offense than the defense.

Picked this up on the internet. Grantham's defensive calls seem to lack something. Watching yesterdays game, App State, our DB's playing at least 10 yards off of the receivers. Mentioned that in another thread. Spells trouble against Auburn.

•Georgia is now 77th in scoring defense.
•Georgia is 34th in ypg.
•Georgia is 24th in rushing defense.
•Georgia is 86th in passing defense.
•Georgia is 83rd in 3rd down defense.
•Georgia is 109th in 3rd down defense when it is 3rd and 7+.

Announced that @CBS will broadcast the Georgia-Auburn game at 3:30 PM ET next Saturday. Bulldogs back into the AP poll at No. 25 today.

Auburn currently ranked #7, should probably hold for now. #7 and #25 square off, what a difference a year makes, eh . . . .

Maybe Auburn has stars in their eyes and look forward to Alabama, overlook UGA. NOT. Auburn will not beat Alabama, believe that . . . . Auburn has a week off after Georgia, guarantee that they will focus on UGA this week.

Gus Malzahn will get to go to the "money pot" if he wins one of the next two games. Auburn folks seem to have a lot of "extra" cash laying around.

This is the type of game that Grantham seems to "show himself".

Greyhound/Trailways busses loading in bay one.

What a difference a season makes. Only thing that really changed between Georgia and Auburn was a coaching change.

Georgia returned with a "seasoned offensive line", not to be mention the supporting cast. Injuries . . . . everyone has injuries. Alabama has an injury, they plug in the next man up. Grantham speaks of next man up, "fool's gold".

Probably open a can or worms with this statement. It appears to me that Georgia too often does not recognize talent, or where the recruited talent should play.

Noticed where the coaches said that Nick Marshall would probably be a NFL cornerback. Based on other evaluations that this group of coaches have made in the past, no wonder we go through up and down seasons.

Staff needs to get off of their butts and look at the offensive and defensive fronts, not one year, every year. That Mark Richt is where games are won and lost. Say that again . . . . games are won on the offensive and defensive fronts.

Richt's famous words this past week on video. You need 4 or 5 running backs every year. Yeppers, don't worry about those guys in the trenches, they never get hurt.
