As you mentioned Bobo has said changes needed to be made and at times appears to have changed.
I guess the only way we will ever know if it is Bobo or Richt that goes conservative in certain games or series is the day they are separated.
This year more than ever I think it is Richt wanting to stick to that old philosophy of running to establish the passing game. Our team seems to work better passing to establish the run. Look at the running backs in the NFL, most teams are happy with mediocre running backs and invest $$$$$$ in quarterbacks. With rule changes and evolution in the passing game it is not to often a back is gonna get 25-30 touches.
Now that brings us to another problem, one that several of us have pointed out before. Time of possession, when Murray and company are clicking the offense can score so quickly or even have too many 3 and outs. The defense gets no rest. Guess what? I am the D coordinator, know my D is gonna be on the field about 40 minutes a game I am building depth from day one. Plan on it, figure out your rotation and keep 22 guys that can play and are ready to contribute.
Oh yea, teach them to wrap up when tackling ! Still say those 2 bogus targeting penalties would not have ever been called had Drew and Wilson been wrapping up instead of trying to deliver the BIG hit.
Greg Blue and Thomas Davis would be getting ejected every game with todays rules.LOL
