There's cheating and then there's ethics.

For me, cheating is black and white (versus rules set in place).......ethics issue where there is absence of detailed rules and they so called "bend them".

In my book both are wrong and shouldn't be needed to be successful.

No gray area imo.....either a cheating or ethics decision.

One area though in which I feelvery strongly....

There should be one uniform policy regarding discipline for failed drug tests that all schools have to
follow.

I agree.. we would def have a few more wins if we did things the Saban way...

The Saban way of having a strong defense, and special teams that are not the laughing stock of all D-1 football.

The Saban way of identifying problems and then actually fixing them. (I know... radical and controversial, huh?)

Wartdawg, I wasn't really looking for a smart-ass & OBVIOUS answer...question was & still remains, do you wish for the head coach at UGA (CMR or the next guy up) to practice let's not say "cheating" but let's say "ethically questionable" tactics such as oversigning, overstaffing, & cutting players just so you & other Dawg fans can beat your chest & say, my team is better than yours???

If yes that's fine, if no, that's fine too but I am 100% certain that almost all of the posters & readers in here already KNOW that Saban addresses his teams' problems, fields a good D, fields a good special teams, & is better in all of these coaching areas than CMR or just about any other college football coach in the country.

I've made it clear that I want a coach who can coach football. I have no interest in someone who can cheat.

As far as the "smart ass" part goes... I am not interested in what you were looking for, because the smart ass part
was not directed at you or any comments made by any of our posters here.

It was smart ass because that's the only way I can think and talk about this coaching staff right now, and this is a
thread about that coaching staff.

My apologies if it offended you personally that I used that comment as the platform to throw another rock at
Richt and staff, but I plan on continuing to make smart ass remarks about our coaching staff as long as we have a coaching staff that acts like a bunch of dumbasses.

Georgia players love to smoke Dope!!!!

By Chip Towers
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Once again, smoking marijuana in a dormitory has landed a Georgia football player in trouble with the law.
Justin Scott-Wesley, who is sidelined for the season with a knee injury, was cited late Wednesday night for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession/use of a drug object after housing personnel detected the odor of marijuana emanating from his room at Rooker Hall.
According to police records, UGA Police officer Matt Browning was dispatched to the dormitory at 10:41 p.m., Wednesday. The officer traced the smell on the first floor of the dorm to Scott-Wesley’s room. After Scott-Wesley was confronted and admitted to smoking marijuana, he grudgingly gave consent to search his room and a glass pipe and marijuana “grinder” were located in a desk drawer. No significant quantities of marijuana were found but the residue in the grinder resulted in the possession charges, according to the report.
However, an arrest warrant was not issued until Thursday morning. Scott-Wesley turned himself in to the Athens-Clarke County Jail at 4:19 p.m. on Thursday and released three hours later on a total $4,000 in bond. He was booked under his given name of Justin Bernard Wesley.
UGA Police Chief Jimmy Williamson said allowing Scott-Wesley to remain in his dorm room and not be hauled off to jail is standard operating procedure for all students in such cases.
“If there are no safety issues for the person or other parties and no urgency with result of the situation at that moment, it’s common for officers to get all the information, do what they need to do and just sign a warrant the next morning,” Williamson said. “That allows (students) to deal with it during working hours and not have to miss classes or anything.”
Scott-Wesley’s scenario is very similar to the one that resulted in discipline for two football players back in May. Police were called to a room occupied by safety Josh Harvey-Clemons and tight end Ty Flournoy-Smith because a residence hall assistant smelled marijuana. Neither player was arrested in that incident but because they admitted to police they had been smoking marijuana they were disciplined for violating the athletic programs marijuana use policy. Harvey-Clemons was suspended for the first game of the season and Flournoy=Smith was dismissed from the team due to an prior arrest.
Georgia officials, who are traveling to Jacksonville for the the Georgia-Florida game, could not immediately be reached for comment. Details to come as they’re available.
