36869, sometimes folks fabricate, stats are stats. No confusing this part of Richt's game. Just another nail.

Emotionally I cannot accept losing.
The possibility is we lose to Florida, Auburn and maybe Tech.
Kentucky isn't a given either. Particularly with our lack of putting teams away.
What happens to Richt if he goes 7-5 or 6-6.
Hate to think it but damn if it couldn't happen.

averagedawg, you are right. Appears to me some of the coach speak and player speak after the Vandy game is falling back into the protection mode.

AM did a lot of that when Mike Bobo and Mark Richt were under the gun. AM had high praise for Mike Bobo.

Watching the UGA/VU game this morning, 27-14 third quarter and the wheels come off. Bad calls on penalties, also bad calls by our offense. Defense, might have been shell shocked with the two "questionalbe calls" that are more than questionable. Young defense looked shell shocked after the Ramik Wilson call. Definitely had an effect on the young pups. That is when a leader, supposedly Richt/Grantham needs to get the youngsters heads up and "finish the drill".

Think I mentioned in this thread that the Florida folks are rebelling as we speak. Foley gave Muschamp a vote of confidence. Think everyone here realizes when an AD does that, there are troubled waters.

By the way, have not heard a peep from McGarity. Maybe I have missed it. Anyone?

Buc, I cannot begin to get into the head of Richt.
However, my theory is that he thinks he was sent to Athens to change kids' lives. Winning is secondary to ministry.
God bless him. I think you change kids' lives by making them part of a winning team.
Just my sometimes flawed opinion.

Truth.

averagedawg, no doubt in my mind that I can attribute some of my success to being a part of two groups, football and the Navy.

Nothing flawed with your opinion.

At this point my crazy way of thinking goes something like this . . . .

Gus Malzahn takes over at Auburn. Brings in an entire defensive coaching staff.

Auburn 6-1 and ranked at #11 at this point.

Auburn is starting an untested (first year) SEC quarterback, and the results are 6-1. Test worked it appears.

Nick Marshall: 11-of-23, 236 YDS, 2 TD; 20 CAR, 100 YDS, 1 TD

Auburn 45, Texas A&M 41—Final, Auburn ranked 24th at that time and Texas A&M ranked 7th.

This is basically the same group of players that we took behind the woodshed last season. What has changed for Auburn to make a move like this?

Could be coaching. Why do I bring that up?

Many or maybe I should say, some believe if our current coaches well given pink slips, our program would nose dive or go to hell, take your choice. Explain to me why that did not happen to Auburn? Chizik did not run the same game plans that Gus Malzahn runs. Are their players smarter than ours, catch on quicker to schemes than ours? I think not. Coaching at the University of Georgia is flawed.

One other thing that is tossed about. Folks say that those of us that are telling the truth about parts of this staff are going to ruin our recruiting chances. Makes me sick everytime I read that.

Why do players go to universities like Alabama? Because they are for the most part winners in high school and their chances of continuing their winning ways is to go with winning coaches. An example: Alabama undefeated (again). Georgia nose barely above water (again). This sure as heck is not rocket science.

Injuries, every university has them, some larger than others. Not a time for excuses, time for coaches to do as Mike Bobo openly said . . . . go back to the table and change some things. At least Mike Bobo is not making excuses. Statement like that tells me that Mike is trying to do his job as best he can.
