I'm not saying his actions were wrong, I'm just saying I don't think he had the players' interests at heart when he did it. I think he was trying to distract fans from the fact his D had to go to the last play to beat Vandy. Looking out for himself, IMO.

I'm not saying TG's actions were not justified.... to a degree.

I'm just saying that after he did it we were all enamored by his "fire" and we stopped critically analyzing his results.

Plus while those actions did have some motivation, I do honestly wonder how animated he would have been had his D just finished a dominating performance where they held Vandy to 6 points. I believe he was also partly motivated
by his D's performance that almost cost us the game.

One last thing as well.... If telling the guy he needs to rein it in a bit causes the sort of performance I've seen from our D now... then there is still something seriously wrong.

I get the argument being made, but it doesn't excuse this and I'm not going to blame CMR
because he doesn't want his coaches to go punch somebody out on the field.

Hey sadler, I'm not so sure CTG is that smart or can think that well to do that....

Totally agree with you WD....people can be motivated without that type of behavior.

Well the first game at home against clempsum ought to be a good indicator, and we'll surely know after usc away what kind of man we have coaching the "D". Guarantee it is going to be very interesting to say the least. What happens if we see the same thing thats been going on for the last three years? I'm not even going to speculate. I don't even want to think about it.

The sun shines on a different Dawg every day
