For me this was the year I thought we would get the title. This was the year Richt was suppose to prove last year wasn't a fluke, wasn't because of an "easy" schedule, that we were for real. Once again beaten by a team that has no where near the talent we have, Missouri is not the better football program athletic wise.

Don't everything can be thrown on the head coach, I know some do, but I believe the offense led by Richt and bobo is fine. The defense led by grantham ain't, period. What can be thrown on the head coach is what he has done throughout the years though, and saddler has a major point. Too many times we have seen georgia fall to opponents that they shouldn't under Richt. For one reason of another: bad coaching, not being prepared, etc.

Not saying I want Richt gone but saddler brings up a good point with Richts past glories. Still on the fence with him, hard for me to say to hell with him after the progress we have made the past few years, but can say to hell with TG. His players, he recruited them obviously thinks they can run his system, his play calling, his defensive staff, something is wrong somewhere, and I don't think he can fix it.

I point to the last 2 years. Had they been 8-5 season's, better believe I wouldn't even be considering what should happen to him. But, he was 12-2 last year with losses coming to NC, and a team ranked inside the top 10.
Year before lost 3 games, 1 to the NC runner-up, 1 to a top 10 team, and another he had not business losing.

CMR has back to back 7-6 season's, no doubt he will be gone. Fans won't have to say anything. Also, have to believe the game has not passed him by. He is an offensive guy, and well our offensive the last 2 years has broken just about every school record. Have to have talent and coaching to do that.

Defense, tired of talking about them. Hate saying this, but this is the worse defense I have ever seen the Dawgs have.

2005- 8-5 Reg Season. 5-3 in the ACC. Played in the Orange Bowl
2006- 7-6 Reg. 2-6 in conference.
2007- 7-6 Reg. 3-5 in conference.
2008- 9-4 Reg. 4-4 in conference.
2009- 7-6 Reg. 4-4 in conference.

All this while playing in the ACC that was a joke of a conference. Also, his program got in some serious trouble at the end of his tenure as well. CMR does that, then ok.

I get it you don't like him. I understand, but lets not start comparing apples to banana's. Would say oranges but that would be way to close of comparison.

I'm not getting in this but with BB's last 5 years above, I'd say the fans were EXTREMELY patient with him.

OK, I said my last post was the last explanation, but since wlayton is kind of making my point, I'll explain once more.
I'm assuming you're saying the records were so bad and that's why the fans were patient, then ran him out of town. OK, we are not all stats/record guys. It's not the record that makes me want richt gone. It is the complete lack of ability to fix anything that is wrong. wlayton, you and AD5 point out 5 years of poor records and say that is reason he should have been gone. What about us UGA fans who have been complaining about the D's inability to tackle or stop the run for the last 6-7 years? What about the inability for an O-line to hold their own for 6-7 years, despite having the biggest line, college or pro, 1 or two of those years? What about bringing an unprepared team and losing a game that we should have won the last 6-7 years?
So if for you guys 4-5 years of bad records is reason to run somebody out of town, you should accept that 6-7 years of what bothers some fans other than records is also being EXTREMELY patient, no? Lots of richt supporters are quick to point out his win/loss record, but for about the hundredth time over the last few years, that is NOT my reasoning for wanting him gone.

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

That's just college football though. The problems have been different each year. Hell, they are different each game. No program is above it. 2 years ago, our defense was very good. Yeah, they had some talent, but those guys could tackle, so obviously they are being taught to tackle. The o-line has been pretty decent IMO. I have seen some gaping holes this year. Sure the backs have helped, but the o-line has been pretty good. Have they given up some sacks, sure. Don't know of a single o-line ever that hasn't. Do they have some lapses, Sure. Don't know an o-line that doesn't. We just magnify the problems. I am willing to bet that the o-line has been good on 85% of the plays this year. Hell, you don't put up those type of numbers without being pretty damn good everywhere.

Ex. I watched bama play vt. All I heard about was how good the bama was but the offense was bad. Then, they play A&M, and all you hear is how bad the defense is, and they are going to have to rely on offense this year. Now, its back to there D is unbelievable.

This is college football. You just have to hope your mistakes don't beat you. Ours do right now.

sadler, you had said the FSU fans were "demanding" and wanted him gone.....I was saying that imo they weren't very demanding if they let him stay there for those horrible 5 years.

Imo, Father Time got BB and he HAD to go regardless.

Doesn't matter....I also feel your pain as does everybody.

Worst one I can remember, AD5

The first job of a coach is to get the most out of what he has to work with.

Does anyone think TG got the most out of the incredibly talented squad he had last year?

This year? Anyone...?? Bueller? Bueller???

All I have seen is underperforming in a spectacularly pathetic demonstration of a lack of basic skills.

God Bless and Go Dawgs
