Got to be able to "land" the great recruits in order to coach them up......

Pretty sure Mizz is NOT in the same recruiting class as UGA... Give Strong or Smart our talent and sit back and watch a coach that is coaching and managing his program to win a NC! There is NO doubt in my mind that we will all be PROUD in one season.

ONE season???


That's speculation, can't base that statement on fact. Maybe you should use the word "maybe" first.

Nobody knows what KS or Strong would do.....KS is unproven and Strong is simply a big fish in a small pond.


(although I do think both are great coaches)

So the season they come to georgia we will win a national? Doubtful, we have talent but there would be a drop off, coaches will want to run different schemes need to recruit to get different people in different areas. No coach will win a title in there first year example: saban went 7-6 his first year at bama. Personally would think if we won the sec and got a BCS bowl the season would be savalgable.

It would be foolish to fire a coach that wins 9-10 games a year on unknowns Smart included.



Just food for thought we should be in the discussion for a title every year, doesn't mean we should be winning titles every year (it would be nice, but won't happen).

Regarding the secondary title thing...

I won't rag on Richt for saying the SEC crown is his goal every year.

I am sure that his goal is to win every game. No doubt at all.

Plus there has always been a sense that the NC as it stands today has always been a bit political.. sometimes very controversial, and really out of a teams control to a degree. The one thing that a team can control 100% is to win the SEC. That is decided on the field, and no where else. Never in the back room at Disney.

Anyway... that's just humble Richtspeak, and I don't think he shoots for just a secondary title.

This is in my opinion a great post. Well thought out, not a lot of "fan speak". Good on you Wartdawg.
