Believe most FSU fans also thought BB was starting to lose it mentally.....how old was he when he left?....75 or so?

Going to disagree with Bowden comparison. Yes, he did all of those things but do a little more research. His program was performing at a much lower level than the Dawgs are under CMR, and that was in the ACC. Here are Bowden's last years in the ACC.

2005- 8-5 Reg Season. 5-3 in the ACC. Played in the Orange Bowl
2006- 7-6 Reg. 2-6 in conference.
2007- 7-6 Reg. 3-5 in conference.
2008- 9-4 Reg. 4-4 in conference.
2009- 7-6 Reg. 4-4 in conference.

All this while playing in the ACC that was a joke of a conference. Also, his program got in some serious trouble at the end of his tenure as well. CMR does that, then ok.

I get it you don't like him. I understand, but lets not start comparing apples to banana's. Would say oranges but that would be way to close of comparison.

Swing and a miss, AD5. Completely off point. I knew the conference comparison would come up--doesn't matter. Any coach's main responsibility should be to win their conference, regardless of what a joke it was. When people said our success a couple of years ago was sue to a limp schedule, pretty sure you said that didn't matter.
My point was the fan base, though, not the stats. The fans wanted him gone, and made it happen. They didn't care about past accomplishments like so many UGA fans do.
And what exactly would you consider a program facing trouble? 3 to 4 years with players getting multiple arrests? Guess not.
I get it, you do like him, but let's try to understand what the post is pointing out before jumping straight to a stats comparison.

Don't even care about the conference comparison's. His record at the end was terrible. Look at it. Believe the wrong person is batting if you think I am the one swinging and missing. Dig into the numbers if you are going to compare, not well my relatives told me it was this way.

Believe it was a swing and a hit. Bowden actually go into some pretty serious trouble with the NCAA. Again, do your research. His records would have actually been worse in conference had I included the wins the NCAA vacated. Not looking at any players who were arrested. That falls on the shoulders of them. His program was in serious trouble with the NCAA.

Believe wlayton, also pointed out, he was very out of it. Watched many interviews, he didn't know the names of most of his players. I remember watching a game where a player was ejected right in front of him. Then, at the halftime interview, he argues with the sideline reporter that they didn't have anoyone ejected. It was comical.

Again, Bobby Bowden in the last 5 years of his career was not comparable. Fans had a lot more work with.

I don't know CMR. Could honestly care less, if he stays or goes.

Last time, since you don't seem to be getting it...not comparing the numbers, just pointing out that a lot of UGA fans point to richt's past as his saving grace, and I was pointing out a different fan base's viewpoint that past didn't matter. That's all. I know you're a stats guy, and I didn't mean to throw you off by posting stats, just using that as a visual aid that one had done more with his recent past but was still run out of town by the fan base.

I'm not getting in this but with BB's last 5 years above, I'd say the fans were EXTREMELY patient with him.
