2005- 8-5 Reg Season. 5-3 in the ACC. Played in the Orange Bowl
2006- 7-6 Reg. 2-6 in conference.
2007- 7-6 Reg. 3-5 in conference.
2008- 9-4 Reg. 4-4 in conference.
2009- 7-6 Reg. 4-4 in conference.
All this while playing in the ACC that was a joke of a conference. Also, his program got in some serious trouble at the end of his tenure as well. CMR does that, then ok.
I get it you don't like him. I understand, but lets not start comparing apples to banana's. Would say oranges but that would be way to close of comparison.

My point was the fan base, though, not the stats. The fans wanted him gone, and made it happen. They didn't care about past accomplishments like so many UGA fans do.
And what exactly would you consider a program facing trouble? 3 to 4 years with players getting multiple arrests? Guess not.
I get it, you do like him, but let's try to understand what the post is pointing out before jumping straight to a stats comparison.

Believe it was a swing and a hit. Bowden actually go into some pretty serious trouble with the NCAA. Again, do your research. His records would have actually been worse in conference had I included the wins the NCAA vacated. Not looking at any players who were arrested. That falls on the shoulders of them. His program was in serious trouble with the NCAA.
Believe wlayton, also pointed out, he was very out of it. Watched many interviews, he didn't know the names of most of his players. I remember watching a game where a player was ejected right in front of him. Then, at the halftime interview, he argues with the sideline reporter that they didn't have anoyone ejected. It was comical.
Again, Bobby Bowden in the last 5 years of his career was not comparable. Fans had a lot more work with.
I don't know CMR. Could honestly care less, if he stays or goes.

I'm not getting in this but with BB's last 5 years above, I'd say the fans were EXTREMELY patient with him.
