Why we lost

I agree with most on here but I just can't see this team being a flop, some of our coaching staff maybe. But still I'm not going to give up on our program and I still feel like we have the best team in country! We didn't coach like it or play like it but we have a great team...

That was hands down the best game all weekend and in my opinion the two best teams in the nation! Bama's O looked way more vanilla than ours and OSU haha. Hard to read a lot of the other top teams because they weren't playing anyone. But I still like our chances! We just have to learn from those costly mistakes and our loss, dust ourselves off, keep our heads up and get prepared for SC. A win against SC and we are right back where we wanna be, just gotta run the table and take care of LSU and Fla, I believe we can do that! We lose against SC then, well I don't even think like that...

It was a tough loss but it was also a tough played game. We made a lot of mistakes that I hope our entire program learns from! It's now time to see what this program is really made of! Our backs are against the wall, it's time to fight Dawgs!!

PS- yea I'm "homer" but I'm not drinking any kool aid, I would take this team over any in the Nation right now (not as confident in a couple of our coaches but that's for another subject)!!!

GO DAWGS

Just overall disappointment in the game last night. 5 yards away and we can't score??? Gurley can get a yard on his own each down so that leaves just one yard in 4 downs for someone to block or that monster of a FB to make a hole. I just wonder what having Harvey-Clemmons in the secondary would have done. I know Connor Norman is a senior guy, but just saw too many times where he was late to the play or getting burned. He did have a couple nice plays, but I believe if JHC was covering the ball wouldn't have been caught. Goes back to the fact that we have a couple folks every year getting suspended and missing some of these important games in the beginning due to being selfish. Oh well... Is it beer-thirty yet?????

Damian Swann had a very disappointing night. Sorry tackling effort that makes you wonder what he's been doing. Can't field a punt. Not a single return the whole game. Finally had to put McGowan in to keep it from rolling to the three. Truth he told I was much more disappointed with veterans than the new guys. Matthews, Langley and Floyd played their butts off. Murray, Swann and O line were what hurt our effort the most.

I'm not saying this team is a flop, but I really can't see many positives from the game. The o line especially the left side was getting their butts handed to them all night. The defense still can't stop the run. Piss poor tackling. The only positive I see is Todd gurley is a straight beast. I hope we win out and he wins the heisman. I love watching that guy run over and around defenders. The offensive line and our tailbacks will need to have a huge game to beat SS Saturday. I'm expecting another shoot out just hopefully we will win. For whatever reason this loss really cut me deep.

Our season isn't lost at all, as some here are quick to point out.... but it sure is a helluva disappointing situation to once again be sitting here at the beginning of the season having to talk about holding our heads high because our season isn't lost.

Spurrier had it 100% right about loving to play UGA early on because you can count on key players being suspended (or us just not being ready).

It is okay though..... we can still take care of all of our SEC goals, and we can start next week......

or the week after, as we talk about how someone else will beat the Cocks and we can still backdoor the east.

Ya know..... either way..

God Bless and Go Dawgs

Greetings, Dawg fans, once again from the big apple, one of my least favorite places on earth except for the fact I'm visiting my daughter.
Anyway, same old story, huge dreams, huge disappointment on a national stage, and once again solidifying our hold on the claim of being the nation's most delusional fan base. Can you imagine, talk of a national championship, and can't even win the first game. Embarrassing. To me, anyway. Not to say some of these kids didn't play their hearts out, but the lack of fundamentals in our team is humiliating. Can't tackle, can't block, choking under pressure, senior QB seemingly unaware a play clock is used in football.
Oh well, there's always next year (again). And BTW, I don't consider myself a glass half empty kind of guy. I consider myself a glass half pint kind of guy. Optimists are half full, pessimists are half empty, realists will point out it's a half pint.
And I know we'll hear all the "we just need to regroup and get ready for SC", and the "we're still 0-0 in the SEC" and blah blah. I hope our guys can regroup, but if you think we're taking this loss hard, just think about the psyche of an 18 year old who was playing.

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!
