Other than lower blood pressure for the fans, not much. We've had many, many ugly wins in the CMR era. We've lost where we should have won (2002, 2003 Gators, 2007 Gamecocks), we've barely won where we should have had blow outs (2003 UAB, 2004 Marshall, 2007 Troy). Hell, we've even won where we should have lost (Alabama 2002, Auburn 2008). Guess what. None of these games has an asterisk next to it, nor do we really talk about these games anymore.
If we had beaten Buffalo by 1, it would still be a W.
I guess the ultimate question is this: If the Dawgs go 13-0, but each game is won by 1 point, would any of us be disappointed by the season?

I agree with both of you this year and next year. After that, you are wrong. Starting in 2014, quality of wins is going to count toward the playoffs, so no more cream puffs and leave NO DOUBT in ANYONE'S minds about who deserves to be one of the final four.
