Watched the game Saturday and was wondering if anyone else thought it was sloppy and uninspired?

Yes I did Rx and feel the same. The trouble with the Dawgs over the last few years is that they have been allowed to play down to the competition,but, after that they havent been able to get themselves up to the competition when needed for the big games. Coaches have to change that way of thinking, and quick.

I had to wait until today to comment on the game. I told myself before the game that no metter what I wasn't going to get my blood pressure up. We were playing Buffalo; finally a warm up game for game one. I told myself not to believe the hype about how great we are or that we are ranked number 6. Been there done that. I told myself we had new guys on the OL and in the backfield, several suspensions on D, and MM got hurt right before the game. I told myself that as long as we win I would be OK. I told myself that this would be a game to knock off the rust and get the jitters out of the way. I promised myself that I would not even evaluate what I thought about the team until after the Missouri game. It's a shame that I had to be that way, but let down after let down, year after year has done that to me. Based on my pre-game talk with myself I am happy with just getting a win. I will not have this talk with myself again this year. That was a one game, first game of the year, pass. Beginning this week I will expect to see what everyone else seems to think we are capable of. I hope this plan of mine will work in my favor, as none of the plans I had in the past several years has worked. GO DAWGS.

SBR sounds like a good plan to me. I think I'll go along with you and give 'em the benefit of the doubt. Thanks for maybe the best post yet on this subject. Now GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!

Here's my reply to that...

Yes that all could be true.... unfortunately we can look back to
2008, 09, 10, and 11 and see the exact same crap in games
where we were not holding back.

So I'm not buying that if that's what someone is trying to sell me, and I've got 4 years recent of

history backing me up.

BUT Wartdawg.....you're not buying it but you said above that it could all be true!!??? (ok, ok, just kidding around)
