Maybe some on the board don't know what Mat Drills are, even if you do, here is a good look at what the players are going to be doing again this year. Stopped them last season, Richt brought them back this season.

Trigga Tray Mathews just tweeted this.

@Trigga_Tray28: Ima leave the fans off with a good note tonight. A big time athlete will make it public and known that he will be a dawg this weekend at Uga

southernlover, picked the information up from DawgBark. A lot of interesting points when all is considered. One particular part that caught my attention was Foster returning to Athens to meet with Richt who was away on family business and did not get to sit with Reuben.

This would be a feather in our cap if we could pull this young man away from Saban. More than a feather, it would be huge. There will be a lot of this going on between now and committment day. Just passing along what I read. . . . :)

From DawgBark . . .
This weekend Reuben Foster said he felt “different” at UGA this weekend. It was a good kind of different if you are a UGA fan. He was able to spend a lot of time with Coach Grantham who we all know is an excellent recruiter. They broke down film on UGA’s middle linebackers and showed Reuben how they would use him in the system. The coaches also told him they would like for him to enroll in January so that he would have a chance to start immediately in 2013. UGA will need him to have as much time on campus as possible because if he can learn the defense before the season begins his tenacity and god-given ability will allow him to be an immediate playmaker.

The part about feeling “different” I predicted in a blog last week where I said the loss of a his HS coach, whom he viewed as a father figure, might make him seek more of a father figure and family atmosphere from his college head coach. Who creates more of a family atmosphere and truly cares about his players? Mark Richt. Where is his best friend and “brother from another mother” Tray Matthews attending college? Georgia.

Unfortunately for UGA, Mark Richt was not able to be on campus this weekend due to a family obligation but it seems that Coach G did a great job with Reuben. Reuben is coming back with Tray this weekend and Mark Richt will have an opportunity to sit down and spend some time with him and really make him feel like part of the family. Todd Grantham has really put UGA squarely back in the game and now Richt will have a chance over the next few months to seal the deal. DAMN GOOD JOB BY THE DAWGS!!

That's great info Buc. During the Daytona fire delay I was poking around and after seeing the Matthews tweet was checking up on our future QB (Ramsey) and had made the comment that this "individual" in question had confirmed to him as well that the announcement was coming. Saban is going to have the long knives out if we turn another one. Following some of these young men, it is encouraging that they seem to already have a bond developing with their future teammates which would make is less likely to loss a big name at the last minute.

southernlover, reading the information above, another thing that really caught my eye was the time line when the young men would be returning to Athens and Tray mentioning this weekend as you posted, a young man becoming a Dawg.

One thing we can be sure of southernlover, the Alabama gang will be out in force trying to keep Reuben facing in the direction of Tuscaloosa. A change of universities by this young man would certainly open some eyes.

With the "boss man" out of town taking care of family business, speaks well that Grantham is capable of holding down the fort. Richt and Grantham continue to work together, this could get real interesting.

A lot of folks kind of hang it up this time of the year, sometimes I find it to be very interesting. I get a better feel for where our coaches are and the direction that the UGA program could be heading. A bit like playing chess. :)
