Buc, Talk to a bunch of these Auburn people.
They were disappointed in the Chizik hire, he was a god after the NC, now they're almost on the fire wagon.

averagedawg, was reading another article about the top twenty players in Alabama and where they will be attending school. A few not committed as yet. What really caught my eye was that Georgia was not mentioned by any of these players names as a recruiting school. Then I check out Abuurn and Alabama and the number of players that they sign from the State of Georgia. Need to tighten our grip and build a higher fence. Appears that the top two players in the country are leaving Georgia for Tuscaloosa. Sure hope that Tray does not change his mind. Scary. That type of recruiting comes from winning football.

Saturday afternoon, thought maybe this might be interesting. Many of us discuss the offensive line and all of us hoping that we can build something substantial with depth. Below is a list I put together of the young men on campus and those heading our way. Might have made some mistakes, not sure sometimes when a young man was held back a year or whatever. List should be pretty close.

Real hard for me to believe that we can't come up with a better than average SEC offensive line looking over the list below. Lots of big bodies, some that their high school coaches say are better than good. There had to be a reason for many of these young men being recruited by UGA, other than just filling slots.

Maybe we are in for a surprise, maybe we have more than one player step up and play a huge part in offensive line development . . . . quickly. Will Friend, my fingers are crossed. I really believe within the group listed below, you can stop some of this talk about our weakest link. Me being one of the culprits.

I do believe that there is talent at all positions on the offensive side of the ball, what some call the "skill positions". Get the offensive line together Will Friend, I will certainly rail for that being a "coaching skill".

Really looking forward to Vandy and Franklin in Athens this season.

Interesting article in the AJC about Jonathan McCrary spurning UGA and others to enter Vandy. Headline there to draw clicks. What was not said in the article was that Jonathan said back in the beginning of the recruiting process that he wanted to attend a school that had an opening at quarterback. Did not want to sit. At best he would have sat two years at UGA or longer. That is a simple truth, just look at his comments prior to the AJC headline looking for attention.

Franklin is playing this out for all it is worth. Never quite sure which side of his mouth is opening from, always someone else that is wrong.

Franklin had some comments about West Point, about Grantham, about Tennessee, about every person or coach that he has ever been around, strangely enough, he has always been right. Keeps close contact with his players, yep, I believe that is a true statement.

Mario Alford will be visiting in Athens this weekend. The 5'11 185 speedster who is currently enrolled at Georgia Military College stated, "I talked to Coach Lakatos and he told me he thinks I am a hell of a player. He wants to coach me at corner," said Alford. "I am going up to Georgia on Saturday and then leaving on Monday. I am hoping they offer me, because if they do, I am going to commit."
