wlayton, know that you, I and others like what we saw with the Boise State Program. They are focused in the same manner as Saban, maybe not the same talent . . . (silly me) but the coaches are in the game to win the game. Picked this little ditty up to pass along. Here is a coach running the offense that did not cower, he said this is what I want. He got it. This is what I hope that Coach Friend does and is allowed to do. Not satisfied with top to bottom at UGA.

Soon after offensive coordinator Brent Pease was hired by the Florida Gators, he made it clear to the coaching staff that he wanted a quarterback as part of the team’s 2012 recruiting class. He got his wish Friday as three-star QB Skyler Mornhinweg (Philadelphia, PA) announced that he has officially switched his commitment from the Penn State Nittany Lions to the Gators.

What does this really say to me . . . it says that the Florida Gators are capable of getting players from all parts of the country, Muschamp might be better than I once thought. Someone in Athens had better get their heads out of their behinds and improve like Coach Grantham has done and is doing on the defensive side of the ball. Believe it or not folks, defensive players get tired. Say what you want, we need the big, bad folks that control the line of scrimmage. Don't think that Richt/Bobo truly understand that. One man's opinion . . . . again. Where are you kentdaddy?

Not because of any reason other than the fact that coaching at the University of Georgia is a better job than the Tennessee job. Tennessee is no longer the mecca of aspiring coaches, contrary to what their stupid fan base would have you believe.
As Buc says, Saban truly cares for and appreciates Kirby Smart.

averagedawg, I truly think that Saban has respect for Mark Richt. He proved that during the "blackout". Alabama could have beaten us by any number that Saban wanted to. That is a damn fact. Let us not fool ourselves, we post here like we know everything, we don't. Saban will kick anyones butt and move on to the next "project". Another FACT. :)

Saban understands recruiting, coaching and . . . . how to make money. Even understand "gray shirting". Lots of folks understand one of the three, your guess . . .

Buc....as you and others know.....it all starts up front. CTG has done such an outstanding job filling the needs up front (and everywhere actually) on the D, now if CMR/Friend could do the same thing on the offensive side of the ball, the Dawgs would be SCARY good. Have my doubts until I see we can block somebody on the OL.

Muschamp's on a rampage......still not convinced he's a good HC or good gameday coach.

Yep, I'm convinced, best HC in college football.

wlayton, going to try and do this the right way. Sometimes I make left turns, but then again I am left handed, so that explains much of my . . . . . . .

Coach Grantham knew, knew what he wanted to do the minute he stepped foot on campus. Also, there was a lot of talk on this board about Grantham's out front attitude. You, me and others had things to say about what we thought, know that for a fact as I have all of that. Todd (hope that does not pp him off) have always referred to Grantham as Coach or Grantham. Too damn old to play football so Todd will have to accept the name calling . . .;)

Coach Grantham did not move away from who he was/is. Had some run ins with coaches and administrative folks. Todd is a very intelligent person, he knows when to put up and when to shut up. The shut up part is hard for Todd, reason being, if he says it, he saw it or believes what he has been told. Truly since Erk left, we have a coach that will stand by his players, fans/alumni, his school and family.

BVG accomplished a lot at UGA, but he never had the respect that Todd has both from players and administration. Goes to show that it works both ways. We will get to watch that episode on the Plains later on this year.

Little off subject. Muschamp hired (actually Jeremy Foley did) Pease to take over the Florida offense. He is of the same mentality that Todd (have to stop that) Coach Grantham is, will have it his way or no dice. Scary.

Remember this, in the State of Florida there is a mountain of talent, what gets to me is that they take some of our folks. Yes I know that we do the same. I just have problems with that when our defensive coordinator can get special players and we somehow miss out on offensve "needs". Talking specifically about that offensive line. Much is said about Theus, I am thrilled he is coming to Athens, but if you take the time to look at film, Jordan Jenkins gave Theus a run for his money. Think maybe the defensive end at South Carolina won't do the same. . .

What I hope that we see on this board is not kool aid drinkers, I hope that we look at our team and be realistic about what we have on the football field. Yes, coaches are on the football field also. Do all of them belong there? I don't know, but I have a couple (2) of opinions.

Adams pushes the 25 limit on recruits, aims his barrel at Saban.
Saban says okay, throws it right back in Adam's face.
Adams might be able to bluff the Georgia Board of Regents. He sure as hell can't bluff Saban.
And Richt can't even meet the 25 limit.
