Can't argue with you, Buc.Buc wrote: If I were Saban, would not have a problem with where the Alabama program is, also saw where Mark Richt was hit with a secondary violation . . . again. Have not seen that being written about Saban and his program this recruiting session. Face it folks, these guys (Saban and others) are in this business, (yes business) to win football games.
Ever wonder why Kirby Smart has been so close to Saban. Think that when he moves on to a head coaching position that Kirby Smart will do a 180 degree turn from what he has learned under this "rule bending" Saban. Got some land to sell in Florida if you subscribe to that formula.
Ready for this . . . would not surprise me if Kirby Smart remains in Tuscaloosa and is the replacement for Saban, when Saban chooses to do that.
Saban has one more thing to do at Alabama and that is to bring Miles to his knees. Not about money anymore, it is all about who is the best. Anyone want to cast votes on that topic?

At some point, especially when you are with a program that arguably has the best head coach in college football, why leave. That is basically the decision that Kirby Smart made when he was approached a short time back. He could have had his program and probably done really well.
Why not bide ones time and move into mahogany row when the situation presents itself. If for some reason Saban could not coach at Alabama next season, who on this board thinks that Kirby Smart would not be the first in line.
Don't care who you are, you leave a very successful program because you are or think you are a good coach, takes time and you are basically dealing with people that you have no "true" background on.
May not be a good example, will use it anyway. So Iran gets a bomb or too close to it. Fight starts, who wins, who suffers. Lots of folks get hurt, many suffer, but you can bet that what you witnessed at the beginning of the war in Iraq will be miniscule as to what will happen to Iran. Many memories of Carter's mistakes in the late 70's.
Football powerhouses are not developed overnight, just a good reason to stop, look and listen to what Saban has done in Tuscaloosa. I think that Kirby will be the next head coach at Alabama. Why not, he is being trained and led by someone that is not the dean of SEC coaches but has those trophies that so many other schools want. Alabama tried pro football, could not sell tickets. Try getting a ticket to any football game in Tuscaloosa. Wonder what Saban had to do with that . . .

Back to the character thing.
Gene Stallings is a good man, a God fearing man.
On the sidelines, he was a torrent of "cover your kids' ears" profanity.
I think he was able to get a player's attention.
God help us with Iran. Prepare for $10 a gallon gasoline.

Not here to defend Saban, but a question.wlayton wrote: Agree.....may be the best coach in CF.......zero class

If Nick Saban was head coach at the University of Georgia and we had won the last 2 out of 3 NCs, who would be here posting about his lack of character? If you can say yes, you're a better man than me.

I would never claim to be a better man than anyone but I would NOT condone that.....ever.
I will simply say this......I've played a lot of sports, won many championships without cheating, lying, taking advantage of anybody or "turning my head" away. If I win.....I win with integrity, if I lose....I lose with integrity.
I can always look at myself in the mirror every morning.
