Tip of the cap to CMR

DawgnLA, agree. You and I both know that we (SEC) are on a huge roll, deservedly so. Also know that Ohio State with a little more "added" talent will eat the "Whatever Conference" alive. ESPN (all channels) will change their logo to a BUCKEYE. FACT. . . . .

Thriller, I will tip my hat to Bobo. I think he has done his best job by far this year. Now, he might have not been the one calling the plays, but he is the OC, so I am going to give him a little credit. I think as much as the defense helped the offense at the beginning of the year, the offense has helped the defense at the end. Putting up points against aub, and gt early and building a nice lead, made both of those teams abort what they do well. The defense has been unbelievable.

Tip of the hat to all the coaches. All just as equal. Imagine trying to keep a team together when all the players hear after the first 2 games is that your HC should be fired. He never made it about him, and I respect CMR much for that. Willing to bet those fella's in the locker room do to.

As far as McGarity, he deserves a tip of the cap too. Yes, he has allowed CMR to get back to coaching, and he helped eliminate the off the field woes. But, I don't believe Mac was hired until 2010. CMR fired WM is 2009, so I don't think Mac forced him to do anything. I am also thinking CTG was hired before Mac ever got to Athens as well. Memory is not very good so I am probably wrong, but that is what I am thinking.

As for CMR hiring of CTG, I think everyone is looking at it wrong. At that time, I am quite confident CTG would not have been anyone's first choice. I am pretty sure we can all pretty much agree everyone wanted Kirby. I did. Don't think I ever heard CTG's name mentioned until it was released by the media as a possible canidate. I think CMR should deserve a little credit because no many people had heard of CTG before he came.

Regardless, good job to the entire staff.

AD5......man is it great to have you back posting. You have always been one of the most logical posters on the forum (maybe it's because we share similiar thoughts).
Agree with your post above and welcome back.

It was pretty obvious though that CMR was pressured into making that move, and didn't want to
do it.

I'm not discounting anything else you said at all, but I just wanted to point out that detail.
I'm pretty sure everyone at this site knows McGarity wasn't here when that all went down.

Sorry gotta point this out (love ya Buc)...Buc made reference to that in another post Wart.

I don't understand the point wlayton, or maybe I am reading your post wrong or something...

When I said it, I was making a direct reply to AD5 who was saying things like "wasn't CWM
fired before McGarity got here?" and was generally asking questions about the timeline
of McGarity getting here and action taking place.

Okay... so Buc also said the same thing at some later time or somewhere else earlier? Your post
sounds like your chastising me for saying something Buc also said at some point???

I'm probably just misunderstanding the point...

Below is AD5's quote:.....Your last sentence above is why I mentioned Buc, he had made reference to McG being responsible for WM's firing in another post and I think that's why AD5 made the comments below because he may have read Buc's comment......no, no.....I certainly wasn't chastizing you or anyone. Simple matter of saying one person on the forum didn't realize it. No big deal, Buc is SO informed he just forgot that one. :)
