Tip of the cap to CMR

AllDawgs5, I'm not disagreeing with anything you said, either. I was just curious to hear what others would say. I think Bobo did a better job mixing up plays and getting the ball into more hands this year too. Maybe CMR helped with some of that. Top twenty of OCs? I guess the results have to speak for themselves - I haven't checked any stats though.

Welcome back, AD5.
I have missed your opinions.
How are the malcontents doing in Vol Land?

I will tip my cap to Bobo for developing AM into an all SEC QB.....his play calling......please.......we all noticed the headphones on CMR more and more especially after the Carolina game.....offense still a big work in progress as long as we have Bobo as OC

There's an article/interview on AJC.com with McGarity that talks about the changes he and CMR made when he came home to Athens. Namely, taking unnecessary administrative duties off of CMR's plate and delegating them to others. McGarity says in the article that this freed up a lot more time for CMR to be in and much more involved with offensive meetings, game-planning, film study sessions, etc. Without being there first-hand I can almost assure you that's the big difference in the play calling. Bobo may still be calling in the plays, but the changes we've seen started with Richt getting back to overseeing his offense in all phases of game-planning, long before the team stepped foot on the field on Saturdays.

Thanks guys. I have still been reading all the post. It has kind of been nice because very good post and ideas as always. Said it many times, this is the best football forum there is.

Averagedawg, it was funny with the fans to start the year. All I heard was Murray doesn't have anything on bray, bray is by far the best and all that other garbage. Now, I am just sitting back and enjoying. Let's just say I am not hearing any bray for heisman talk anymore:laugh: I am getting the feeling many ut fans are wondering if the vols will ever be decent again. Sad state right now, but I am sure they will be back to their over expectation selves by next fall.

I saw a stat the other day that was pretty impressive. It was something like Richt is 60-10 in years where he had a returning starter at qb. I will try to find it and post it tomorrow.

Hope all is well out there my fellow Dawgs.

AD5, truly glad you have returned to posting have missed your thinking on our football teams and it's direction.

We or lose Saturday our Dawgs have made a turn for the better without question.

Mac gave a nudge to CMR and the players maned up and took hold of the idea of building a winning team.

I am amped up for the next two games and were we are headed for the near future.

Again AD5 welcome back...

Go Dawgs!
