A bit quiet around here, so thought I would chatter just for the heck of it. :)

Watching the first video clip that RabunDog posted on this thread, caught my interest big time. Watching the clip the first time, there was much talk going on in a lot of different threads. Second view really impressed me.

Appears to me that this is "the man" that CTG should put all of his recruiting efforts toward at this time. JJ is first off a "Man Mountain Dean". He is surprising when he runs towards the sidelines, he does not "lumber" he "runs". I think there is enough talent on the D side to cover every position . . . . except that nose tackle. JJ runs better than a huge NT that played for Bama last year. Maybe CTG can get JJ to change his alligence form Oklahoma State to UGA. That would be huge in every sense of the word "huge".

If we can add IC to the plus side of the ledger, along with KM, not making note of the two that are still on the team, Running Back should be solid. Maybe more than solid, maybe dynamic.

Would love to see Rome sign on, no doubt in my mind that will change a lot of things on the offenside side of the ball. I still think that OC should be moved to slot or wide receiver, he has the talent, the size, and the dude is not slow. AJ stays, dadgum trouble for the rest of the SEC.

Right now my biggest concern is the offensive line. Going through the list of O linemen see some that have had serious injuries. Some that have not been quite what we thought they would be. Maybe one leaving early, Glenn. Don't believe for a minute that the skill positions (as they are referred to) do anything without a solid offensive line. Back when we and many others were after Harmon, thought he was going to be dynamic. Personally wonder about conditioning, which we have been discussing a lot this past week. If Sturdivant can't move like he did before the knee operations, I think moving him to guard would be a super move. He was beaten on speed moves a lot and especially in the Auburn game.

I still stand by saying that we have a tremendous amount of talent in Athens. Too many schools wanted and recruited hard for the same players that chose UGA. Guess we need to tighten up in some areas that have been either neglected or not having position answers. Just throwing this out for conversation. Maybe some of you guys have some thoughts.

End with this . . . CL said that we were going to be surprised when the time comes and we really re-load the troops in Athens.

"It Will Probably Be Georgia"
ATHENS - Rome made the trip to Athens this weekend from Valdosta with Georgia high on his list.

From ajc
1) AJC Super 11 TE Jay Rome of Valdosta reportedly loved his official visit to Georgia and may be close to committing to the Bulldogs, according to Scout.com’s Chad Simmons. Rome was one of 18 official visitors in Athens. We’ll catch up with at least a few of them.

Certianly would be very good news

Sure was a good thing that most of these top players teams had lost before the state championship games at the dome this weekend - would think they would schedule this big gala AFTER the high school championship games

GO DAWGS
