I'm not impressed with the Chaney hire at all. We could have done a hell of a lot better and maybe just as well off with Shotty and that ain't saying much.

Now I'm ecstatic over the Pittman hire and if he was only coming if Chaney came then I can live with that decision. Pittman will have our O line playing at an elite level by September!

I think him running the pro style but having a background with the spread as well was a big part of it. Teams that have beaten Alabama have done it by stretching them vertically and horizontally as well. I think the combination of the two guys may be the secret sauce that will make it work.

Couple of questions . . . .

Why did Mark Richt bring Schottenheimer to Athens?

Why did Mark Richt bring grantham to Athens?

Here is what I consider to be the big question . . . .

Why did VD not hire Erk as Head Coach?

Down to this folks, have waited for a long time to say this, again.

You and I have been pushed around for many years. Think it is over? If you hide and accept what those above the head coach will do, nothing changes.

Take a serious look at what UGA Football has accomplished since the time that VD came on board and what has been accomplished since then.

If you are happy or "satisfied" then I would say that we don't need the likes of Kirby Smart and his hires in the Classic City. Kirby Smart is not like anyone that has coached in Athens since the 1960's.

Bet this . . . . Greg McGarity knows that Kirby Smart needs to be all that, his skinny little butt is on the line also.

Kirby Smart, conditions are perfect for you to get everything you want in Athens. Use it to the "advantage" of those of us that "believe" you are the right person as Head Coach of the Georgia Bulldogs. We have no doubts, and I know that you don't either.

The thirty million dollar IPF will be played big time in the media. Should not say this but . . . . coach the football team, those of us on the outside of the "arena" will call the hands of those that work for the clicks. They seem to be shrinking, but we have our eyes and ears open. Bet that.

Having the 3 letters NFL associated with their names took pressure off of him, and put it on them.

They were both big "names" and a lot more focus went on them whereas that focus and spotlight would have been squarely on him had he hired Jim Wayne Smith from Bob Jones U.

In both situations he needed a name or at least some initials that said "big time".

This new OC has seen it all. Even Urban Meyer seeked his counsel. This guy can coach pro style as well as spread/option style. So, the next time a Deshaun Watson type comes along, we don't have to shy a way.

No defense will trick this guy

Real good read BulldogShannon.

Did a recall of the gator game this year. Richt/Schottenheimer insert Faton Bauta at quarterback. And as we all know, they did not use his talents properly. We understand that Faton Bauta is very good running the football, which of course helps his passing game.

This is the kind of thing that really drives me up the wall. AM left campus twice to be coached up at quarterback.

Then we have muschamp hiring Charlie Weis to run the offense for the gators.

espn.go.com/blog/big12/post/_/id/102510/...ous-charlie-weis-era

Basically the same thing with Charlie Weis happened in Athens with the hiring of Brian Schottenheimer. All that was needed was to check his NFL performance record as offensive coordinator. Found it interesting that the St. Louis head coach Jeff Fisher lauded Schottenheimer's skills, but released him. ??

This is what I am trying to get to . . . . Georgia football has been run by several that do not have a clue what it takes to perform at a consistently high level.

Will Kirby Smart be the cure for our ills? For damn sure it won't be any worse than the previous years of incompetence.

Will continue to say it was time to quit fooling ourselves, or maybe I should say being fooled.

Kirby Smart will get down in the dirt when necessary, that is his background as a player and coach. Remember this, he is excitable, not to the extent that muschamp is, but excitable. He will not stand in one spot on the sideline during a game and fiddle with his headset.

Greg McGarity, you know as well as we do that the Big Contributors have had enough of the same "stuff" that has been around for many years. Truthfully, Richt was not a hard fire once the "money" said change this madness.

Francis, cat got your tongue?
