Imo, the job is Eason's and he won't have any competition. Our QB situation this year was the worst I've seen at UGA in 50 years.....

Eason has no competition in Athens.

Would like to add this . . . .

Do not know at this point if Mark Hocke is returning to Athens as the S&C leader.

Know this, Mark Hocke was Scott Cochran's top assistant for many years in Tuscaloosa. That alone gets my attention. Scott Cochran will not put up with anything other than producing.

Said a couple of times that the 2015 football team was head and shoulders above any S&C coached group that I have seen in Athens. For sure in the last 15 years.

Comes down again to Coach Kirby Smart, never know what he will do, has proven that since taking on the leadership role in Athens.

dawg_fans_dad, so right on the offensive and defensive lines getting some "attention". 2016 none of us know for sure at this point. 2017 will give us a better look into Smart's way of recruiting. He said what he is looking for on the lines, guess we will watch and see.

Buc, speaking of the OL.......did you see where Theus made the FIRST team All-SEC team???

Really?......what did I miss?

BAMA's 2nd string tackles had to have been better.

Agree wlayton.... This years QB situation almost made me wish for Joe Cox.

I know Stafford didn't start until the 4th game, but then again that was a different
coach whose motives for starting players was something I often wondered about.

Everyone knows JT3 got that job because his name was JT3.

Anyhoo....not sure we have much better than JT3 here right now. Ramsey didn't look like he had a clue about reading a D or throwing accurately, but it was such a dumpster fire with Schotty calling plays...who knows.

What I am fairly certain of is that this staff will make the right decision.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

wlayton, I did.

I like the fact that John Theus chose UGA. He played as hard as he could, just believe he was in the wrong position, strictly from what the "talking heads" had to say about where he should play.

You and I both know that one of the problems with our football team has been a lack of focus on the area that Kirby Smart says he will pay close attention to.

See where more and more folks are checking Dawgs.com out, many think that there is some real football talk going on here. None of the "stuff" that can be seen elsewere . . . . folks pounding on each other just to be recognized.

Answering your question wlayton, you have not missed anything.

If I had to bet, Pyke is the offensive lineman that will be chosen before Theus and others. Have been told that Pyke was playing hurt after the Alabama game. Best NFL player on our team this season.

End with this . . . . Theus was suited as a right tackle, or guard.

wlayton, liking what I have seen since the changeover. Kirby means business.

EDIT: Wartdawg just finished and read your post . . . . Spot on.
