“I’m 100 percent convinced that the University of Georgia and the University of Miami are on a collision course for a national championship,” Richt said.

The same Mark Richt that could not get those words out of his mouth while coach in the Classic City. All he would say as head coach at UGA was . . . . win the East.

He shouldn't concern himself with that, because life is not about rings, it's about people. Rings gather dust.

Still interesting that almost half of the "supposed" Georgia fans believe the Richt release was the wrong thing to do.

Any college team in the country that has as much talent as Georgia has had for the past 15 years, check their records and rings.

Why does Nick Saban for example keep signing top high school talent? Players are quick to say that they will be playing for a championship. Saban does not talk about winning the West as Richt did about the East. Saban is out for one thing and his coaches, players and Alabama fans along with their administration look to either win or be in the Final Four "ever year".

For all the reports I've heard, and it's been almost every reporter saying it, Eason isn't an attention-type guy. This certainly doesn't back that up. Last night, Eason put out the tweet:

I would like to thank everyone who has helped me in this process, I will be announcing the university that I will be attending tomorrow

Maybe I'm just too old school, but just announce the school already. Why is there this need to announce that you're announcing except to bring further drama and anticipation?
