From Athens- Friday Thoughts

If Alabama does well in the Final Four, we can expect several surprises on the defensive side of the ball.

To that I say this . . . .

The time had come to end the way our program was being handled. Every year, year after year there was the "noise" that releasing our head coach would have an effect on our recruiting.

Look for the "bleeding hearts" to step up and loudly say, "told you so".

Pruitt was not the problem, the problem was Mark Richt. Not many on Dawgs.com that did not wish for Jeremy Pruitt to remain. Hard to turn Nick Saban down, and money will not be an issue in Tuscaloosa.

Have nothing but good things to say about Pruitt. Anyone that spent time in the military understand Pruitt's methods.

I am glad that Pruitt returns to Alabama, good things happen to good people.

Recruits come and go - they are more fickle than a high school girlfriend. We have always gotten some and lost some, stolen some and had some stolen. It's the nature of the beast.

I also wish Pruitt the best, when they aren't playing UGA. I only LOVE UGA, nobody else. However, I don't HATE Alabama. They usually have some class. Good luck Pruitt!

I'm so finished talking about Mark Richt . . . he is GONE, in case anyone missed the news . . . so no need to continue talking about him - or Johnny Griffith, for that matter.

There is some "loud chatter" that Tracy Rocker will remain in Athens. Can't say too much now, don't have the specifics.

I am one that believes in Tracy Rocker. Believe Kirby Smart does also. Know that they know and respect each other.

Crossed fingers that this is real.

So who's going to coach is in the bowl game? lol
