From Athens- Friday Thoughts

Good Morning All,

Fun week in Athens….. people feeling good about the Dawgs.

Buc once again you did your detective sleuth work..

No way someone who understands that people are looking for answers not dance steps…. CKS would not fly out to the west coast and not have a foggy idea what to tell JE and his dad… CKS is not a Homer Simpson coaching football……

IMO he has a very good idea who or whom his OC will be….hashing the numbers and length of contract is what I am thinking…

Can’t see it being anyone whose team is in the playoffs being a possibility but then again?????? However, maybe someone who has a team in a bowl game….. which seems like all of college football…..

Also JE has said he will commit to UGA or UF next week….which tells me we will know our OC by then because it make zero sense for him to make such a decision without knowing who is our OC…..duh…. it is possible that he will be asked not to share that information….

Recruits may just have to trust HC….. I am sure he is not looking to have twiddle dee and twiddle dumb…. With his coaching future on the line

Find it interesting that a Yankee butt ..vent…. who is a resident idiot for ESPN has any creditable ability to call our new coach out for staying and coaching the Tide in the playoffs….. fool…. I have firsthand experience with this type of arrogance and ignorance ….. thanks be to god it got gone from me once I moved to Chattanooga….real fast….that stuff does not fly among those who call the south home….. he is trying to stir up poop just to get clicks….

Went to the same school as the writers at the AJC….. Pinhead University ……

Same guy said nothing about CMR bailing to the “U” and not coaching our bowl game….which was a big deal to him…that faded real quickly
I would expect nothing less from CKS…..

A mentor of mine taught me long ago….. you came in the front door when you started the job….be sure you always leave by the front door when you depart…..shake their hand and say thanks for the opportunity…..anything else shows a lack of class and self respect….

We have a HC that will put together a staff that will be like minded
with him when it comes to coaching the Dawgs…… whatever it takes to move the improvement meter upward is goal one….

Our as a board member says…. Coach’m up……

Reason . . . .

Sometimes some of us have a hard time moving from A to B.

I read a lot and from what I can gather, the fact that Georgia changed its position on "Leadership" in 2015, not waiting until the Bowl Game in JAX is over, makes me a bit happier than what all of us . . . . the "fans and supporters" of the Red and Black for many years do not have to put up with the BS any longer.

Having a strong belief that much has been accomplished with the decision to realize that we are Georgia supporters, Mark Richt is now a "U" head coach. For those that want to "hang on" to a "good man" leaving Athens . . . . read what he is saying since being removed from UGA to the "U".

Some will not like this . . . . MR does not belong in Athens for Senior Day. I said that. He chose not to stick around and coach the game in JAX, (THANK YOU). Reminds me of his very close personal friend that he released . . . . Willie Martinez that chose not to stay with the Red and Black for another Bowl Game, Shreveport, another Bowl Game that MR had us play in that "dressed up" his overall stats.

Stop with this . . . . MR is not the type head coach that will be open to his way of thinking with players in South Florida. Mark Richt spent his high school years in Boca Raton. The young men that need to play for the "U" do not come from Boca Raton.

This is where I am at. I feel that Mark Richt is not a "Head Coach". I do believe he will continue to pocket the money he can get for however long he can. I do not accept "laziness" and Mark Richt has never worked hard a day in his life. He is a "Carney" that many of the bleeding hearts accept what he says and enter the "tent".

Mark Richt said after leaving UGA, he wanted to go back to coaching. Meaning on the field. Mark if you do that, your chances of "survival" will increase 100%. You got away with a lot of things in the Classic City, you know, I know.

Will never forget that it had to be "suggested" to you to "lead" the team on the field coming out of the tunnel.

Right or wrong? Bleeding hearts . . . . right or wrong?

Can't fault mark richt for getting another job after he got canned. When you take a new job you need to move on. He's got some "game" and that's why uga went 30-10 the last five years in the sec. Also why the u hired him. I also can't fault uga for deciding to try a new coach. Time will tell if the new guy is the answer. If I had a gun to my head I would say uga would not be better than 30-10 in conference play the next five years. Wth do I know, I thought tiger woods would struggle when he joined the pga.

In my opinion Kirby should have just cut ties with bama when he accepted with uga. It's kind of tough when dealing with players you built trust with, but when you take a new job you need to move on.

I admire and respect Kirby Smart for staying with the men that he asked so much of at Alabama, obviously KS has the kind of backbone to make the right choice even when it isnt the most popular choice. Some other leaders, in much higher places, could take a lesson from this man. GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
