Good to be back. I tend to take a break in the spring and early summer. Vacations, MLB baseball, coaching the kids baseball... it becomes overwhelming so I choose to take a breather.

I will say this...

I had hoped for immediate great things..big turnaround from the D this season. While I still expect
to see better preparation and less frustration from watching a D that can't even line up properly, I am beginning to temper my expectations a bit due to the sheer number of players that have left.

Long term positive there, but they may have some issues early in the season. We committed a lot to
those who left, and it's almost to the point that we seem to have lost an entire recruiting class worth of players on that side.

Good thing though is that ulike last year, I think the new guys will improve quickly and the D at the end of the year will be much better than the D at the beginning. I'll take that opposed to
just being bad all year long.

Wart totally agree the operative word for our D this year IMO. Improvement.... from

Game to game. Need to hang together early. Going to be a long term gain cleaning

The ME players off the team. Go Dawgs

It will be a lot like our expectations for last years defense.



Except for the pretty major fact that CJP will actually deliver on the second part of the expectations... the getting better as we go stuff, lol
