Open Mouth, Insert Foot, Sir

Couple of things stick out to me while reading the article below.

After reading the article I am more convinced that the stumbling block at Georgia has been our head coach for the past 13 years.

Prior to giving up the play calling in 2007, reading the article one would think that our head coach was head and shoulders above where our program is today.

What I have seen in the last two or three years is an offensive coordinator that has almost abandoned what the head coach did prior to him taking over play calling.

One particular thing that I did not like that Richt said was this . . . . “I think the guy knows what he’s doing, and I’ve known it for a long while, and probably longer than the normal fan has known it,” Richt said.

Sounds like the famous words that crossed Richt's lips a while back that he had tried to move away from. Hard to hide what one truly believes. Sooner or later, truth comes out, Richt.

Head coach referred to everyone outside of the "arena" as not knowing now he mentions above NORMAL FANS. Normal fan that does not suitcase over 3 million dollars a year to the bank. Some of that 3 million belongs to me and my "normal fan" friends. Still waiting for the same results or close to the results that the head coaches in Alabama have captured for their programs.

My guess is that everyone "outside the arena" includes those that have played the game, just don't understand it as well as a head coach in his fourteenth year that is still at the "mediocre level".

Just get the hell out of the way, maybe the group of coaches that are "in the arena" now can move our football team closer to the prize. Might take them less than 13 years, sir.

Looks as if every time improvement "appears" to be happening, head coach is quick to get out front. Seems hesitant to do same when things are not what the "normal fan" is looking for.

Not just the head coach, there are those above him that need to look closer at themselves. Ever wonder how much McGarity or the Group understand when it comes to football as it is played in the "arena"?

Big bucks heading to Athens and other SEC schools, head coach is here to stay . . . . as long as he can engineer 8-10 wins a year. With the talent level in Athens, that can be done with less than Alabama coaching.

Time of the year when folks want to forgive last year and years past, some things never change.

Will be watching closely to how much credit is given our head coach if Pruitt/Rocker really take the program up to 11 wins or more.

Code words from where I sit . . . . "Stay Out Of The Way". I said that . . . . again.

Care less about who reads this, just expressing how I feel. Stayed too close to this head coach for too long. Time wasted . . . . wishing. Said that also.

Speaking to the opening of this thread.

The article below shows Richt stepping forward and taking credit for McKenzie. BS.

McClendon is responsible for Sony Michel and Isaiah McKenzie coming to Athens. Same McClendon promoted and given a business card, no money.

Richt was on the South Florida campus because McClendon had spent his time there for a year. Yes, I have friends in South Florida. McClendon did the "work".

Yes sadlerdawg, he is an ass for trying to be something he is not. He would do well in Washington, D.C.

Edit: Another name that is on campus because of McClendon. This young man will play this season and will light it up. All of us "normal fans" will appreciate Brown. Thanks McClendon.

DE Keyon Brown 6-2, 240 lbs. (Wauchula, FL - Hardee Senior HS)

Have posted these film clips before, never hurts to watch more than once or twice. This is the type talent that McClendon is responsible for, along with Sony Michel.

Here is the deal Richt, "normal fans" watch film also, and can say as you did that Isaiah McKenzie can catch swing passes and more, along with Special Teams. You sure as hell have not done anything personally that I have noticed with the Special Teams, you did say two/three years ago you were going to be involved with them. Tisk, tisk.

Edit: Have mentioned this before. Jeremy Pruitt was the defensive coordinator at FSU, wanted Keyon Brown. McClendon was the recruiter that went against Pruitt/FSU and got Keyon's signature.

My bet right off the get go, Keyon Brown will be one of the "major improvements" to Special Teams. Notice also when he is after the quarterback, has his arms up, deflects many balls or hurries the passer. Young man has had some very good coaching in high school. Taking credit for Keyon Brown also Mark? You will when he shows his "greatness".
